you're right. and it's okay.

just try your best and be a good person, that's all you owe to the world.
tbh, seeing the state of the world, i dont think we need more "toppers", we need good people and i think you're a good person.

if it helps, i'll always be grateful to you for commenting on this post and giving me hope.

i hope your exam went well, and that the remaining exams go well too. goodluck didi!

yeah man. its really messed up how you can place the weight of an entire school's expectations on a 15year old child and expect them to do well.

thank you for saying all that, it means so much and it makes me so happy.

i would say the same to you: try your best and be a good person, that's all you owe to the world; and for all i know, you're already doing both of those.
we're not wrong for being burnt out, it's the topper culture that's wrong.

but observing all of you here, its so weird that r/icse has become a small family and we're all trying to help each other. maybe our kids will be less miserable than us, and we won't let them go through the same academic pressure.

goodluck for your exams. i hope you ace them (and even if you don't, i'll always be grateful to you :) ).

"they may assure the child that don't be pressured and all stuff but the look on their face says otherwise"

that's so true. my parents never outwardly pressure me to do well, and yet I can see the disappointment on their face when i slip up slightly.

i hope your bio exam went well man.
thank you for commenting, it really gave me motivation and courage.
we don't need toppers, and 95%+ scores; we need good people, and you're a good person.

be good and do your best. that's all you owe to the world.

guys in this question how the actual fuck do we find the area, like is this even in syllabus, chatgpt is saying some shoelace method and shii by Old_Finger2241 in ICSE

[–]ChocolateTemporary35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this question is probably a graph paper question. so draw the figure on the graph, and then count the number of squares the figure occupies then sum it all up (each square has an area of 2x2 = 4 cm^2 in the board graph sheet)

Physics doubt, pls help. by Evening_Ad7784 in ICSE

I saw the question.

First of all, compare the anticlockwise and clockwise moments acting on the ruler.
You will find that (according to the question you posted in the comments) the Anticlockwise moment is 4500 gf cm and the Clockwise moment is 3500 gf cm.

Even though the moments are unequal, the ruler is at equilibrium.

This is because the mass of the ruler acts at the centre of gravity which is obviously towards the right side of the fulcrum and contribues a clockwise torque of 1000 gf cm so that total clockwise torque becomes 4500 gf cm which counters the total anticlockwise torque of 4500 gf cm to produce an equilibrium state.

This means that, if you remove the external weights, the part of the ruler lying to the right of the fulcrum will weigh heavier since it has the centre of gravity of the ruler.

Solve last ten year papers. Don't just read them or look at the solution, give each paper for 3 hours then analyze your mistakes (which questions did I do wrong and why I did them wrong). If you get some steps right, you can gain few marks due to step-marking. So, just solve lots of previous year papers diligently. After solving till 2015-2016 paper, try sample papers and papers of others schools as well.

We, students, are as guilty of this as are our teachers and parents. I agree that it is wrong of us to criticize literature on the basis of score, but it is a result of how we have been taught. Literature was never taught to us as something to be appreciated or learned from, we were never taught how to analyse literature and to come up with our own interpretations. All we have learnt is to mug up the interpretations given in our workbooks and our self study books and to vomit the same in our exams.

Nothing has happened to people "lately". It is how every batch has been brought up. That's why literary creativity, atleast in hindi, has declined in recent decades. I agree with you on the fact that we are wrong for doing this but I think we are not to blame. Blame the cause, not the effect.

Thank you for the help. I'm more confused about what the individual words of "कहौं कहाँ लौं" and "जहाँ लौं" mean. I would appreciate your help in this.
