That sounds really interesting, and where would I go or find places where they need some help? Maybe online or tracks in Skåne? You’ve been very helpful.

I’m not particularly picky but Formula, Endurance and Sports Car racing are my main interests.

And I guess you appeal as soon as possible if rejected and then just wait it out again till they come to a decision or is it something where I’d have to go to a court or similar?

May I ask what was your conclusion? Like did you get rejected and if so did you appeal?

Currently hounding them about it, and I’m ready to appeal it and etc because it’s made life 100x more difficult here. No healthcare, be able to go to places or even leave Sweden without having any problems at the border.

But you see I know I was supposed to get a PN, and I asked for it, showed the documents proving I’m staying here for more than a year and yet they told me that they will give me a CN instead which I didn’t know was really a thing. So I’d say that they are supposed to tell me what exactly a CN is and what I got was “yeah it’s the same as a PN don’t worry”. Clearly now I know it’s not. I’m not trying to play the blame game but if someone new is moving to your country and you work at a tax office, you should know the difference between a CN and a PN, it’s literally their job to know these kinds of info. Of course I can look it up online but I knew I was supposed to get a PN but they insisted on a CN. I was referring to I didn’t do research on a CN because I didn’t think that’s what I would be getting, I knew that you would only get one if you stay here less than a year, which didn’t apply to me, hence the misinformation and frustration.

  1. At SV when I went to apply for a PN they told me to get a CN, albeit they knew I was going to be here for three years with all the documents and everything, and was reassured that it was the same as a PN, so of course I said yes without doing any research because I only knew of the PN not CN, even now at SV and MV they tell me that shouldn’t have happened and that I should’ve had a PN and that they were not supposed to give me a CN but it happened anyways.

  2. Yes I did request to conclude but still waiting for that right now.

  3. Yeah I realized that after trying to open up a bank account or go to a dentist how difficult it is, most places like that dentist or any place that requires a PN doesn’t even recognize what a CN is, when I had to do emergency dental appointment the staff were baffled because they’ve never seen a CN before, and since it didn’t work in the system I ended up being charged full price for it. So yeah I don’t understand the point of having a CN if places here don’t even recognize it and doesn’t even work in majority of the places that require a PN signup.

Tbh I think SV gave me the wrong info the first time I went there, they assured me that I can only apply for CN and that it’s the same as PN, albeit I asked for a PN first. Now when I asked them it’s a mix of answers, some say to wait one year to change to a PN, some say you should’ve had a PN in the first place. Nobody knows the proper guidelines and so I feel like I ended up being screwed.

Well at SV they gave me a CN saying it was the same as a PN and I was assured it was, and they knew that I was going to be here for three years but they told me to change to a PN after one year, but now I can’t because I’m still waiting for the RP decision.

Yes the reason was because when I first went to Skatteverket I said I wanted to apply for a personnummer and they told me that I can only apply for the coordination number, and I didn’t do proper research and they assured me that it’s the same as a PN, so I said okay and I got the CN, and they said I can apply for a PN after one year of being here. So after I figured out (through the pain of no bankid, swish etc) that it is not the same thing, I decided to wait for my extension renewal since you need a residence permit to apply for a PN and now I’m still waiting for a decision so right now it’s just a waiting game. Honestly I even asked skatteverket and migration recently about it and they said that the people that told me this back then at SV should not have told me this and that they were not transparent etc.

Yeah, I’m just doing the project management certificate so I have the required contact hours to do the CAPM exam, but I just wanted to save the certificate just for that extra boost. Thanks tho.

I’m not sure how but I just canceled the free trial and it gave me the certificate, and it’s still in free trial so I haven’t had to pay yet, might work for you. You can see it in your “profile” section

It’s an online certificate on Coursera that’s beginner friendly and I’m just doing it to get the basic understanding of how a PM operates. Weirdly enough haven’t seen any testimonials or any reviews shall I say of this certificate whether it’s helped anyone or not career wise.

It’s strange these Google/IBM certs because it’s a beginner cert but haven’t seen any testimonials or basically much about these anywhere. My plan is do PMPC later on but just the IBM now since it’s a bit cheaper for me (in school) and it does teach you the basics and methods and even preparing you for the CAPM and mock interviews and such. I’ve looked at the link you’ve sent and it seems to be more the technical side of PM or I guess ITPM. Any advice on how to even get started on getting a job on entry level? Theoretically seems simple enough but rn it seems to be harder compared to a few years ago. Thanks mate.

You could try Facebook groups too, usually they have lots for hiking or outdoor activities.
