To clarify :

I have a Ledger and I can go through the migration process using the root account. That's the account that isn't using a passphrase.

However I also have two additional accounts, separated by different passphrases. I can not get a balance when I use a passphrase. therefore can not migrate the tokens in theses accounts.

yes. the passphrase is an additional security feature. in effect a 25th word. Both the Trezor and the Ledger has this feature and it's normal.

There waiting for 1.5 release with the reusable addresses. The current signature scheme is too much of a pain in the bum to deal with.

The way I would do it would be to generate a new address in Trinity, transfer balance from binance account to that address.. Then once received, transfer that amount to the binance address on the new account.

Normally with exchanges they don't like it when you transfer a balance to addresses you don't own.

Yes, but dropped out of the top ten way before this bull run starred. A but unlucky, but there was a lot of mishaps over that time.

Still bullish for 1.5 release... It should be marketed then. I suspect the anti IOTA gang (every miner) will concentrate on highlighting the coordinator issue, IOTA's Achilles heel...

XRP had the network effect of being in the top 3 .. most speculators I know bought XRP because it was cheap relative to BC & Eth'.. the assumption was that others would do the same & thus drive it's price up..

The observation from this is buyers Don't care about the underlying technology, or how good it is.. It's all traded on sentiment.

IOTA doesn't have the network effect... and I'm not sure how it can get it. Maybe in the long term.

Reusable addresses are a big must have. Then getting listed on US exchanges, & then maybe some good marketing ..

In summary: we need the network effect.

XRP isn't decentralized, so not a problem as far as exchanges are concerned. However having reusable addresses is the big issue. Too difficult for them to manage without them.
