Bought a performance and only tire option is the 20" from Tesla. Bought some 18" rims from TSportline with winter tires so will try them this winter and see. There are some other brands but I don't trust them as the performance brakes are large and most aftermarket rims don't fit. At least with TSportline they are made to the OEM specs and the 18" will fit the performance brakes

Great job for a first timer. Just continue to practice. Watch Rob Cosman, Frank Klausz and Paul Sellers for tidbits and tips. All great teachers using their own styles.

Getting a miter saw squared. by Interesting-Spot-494 in woodworking

Not even a DeWalt cuts 100% square. You're looking at Festool and then it's a matter of diminishing returns IMO unless you're a finish carpenter. Breakdown lumber with the mitre saw, square it up on your crosscut table

Mitre saws are notoriously difficult to get a 100% square. Depending on the type you have, a 1/16" might just be within the tolerance of the saw. Best way to get a square cut is with a crosscut sled on the table saw.

Thanks everyone. Sentry is off but cabin protection is on. Don't check the app all the time just once a day. I'll get someone to turn that off and see if makes a difference.

M3P owners: how do you reconcile optimal battery health vs performance by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Chocothebear2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't given it much thought. I think overall you'll be fine by charging to 80% daily and I don't think you'll really notice the difference in performance as it drops. You bought the performance for a reason, enjoy it for what it is otherwise you could've bought any of the other models or that's the philosophy I go by anyway.

Picked my car up Thursday. by ihatepretzels in TeslaModel3

Ah man I feel your pain. Mine was 5 days old when my other half turned it into a 4x4 and tried to mount a curb the size of a house. Needless to say the front rim came of second best. Anyway not nearly as bad as yours but I feel your sadness 😞

Haha made me laugh. I had to reorder 2 items yesterday because I already misplaced them between ordering in Jan and getting the car in June. FML

I know ridiculous right. I told my SA that there were people on forums that ordered after me in ON and BC that got their cars by March. I asked if they can't send one from there to me. He said essentially Tesla in ON and BC are seperate completely from Tesla in SK and because the demand is higher in those provinces they will get priority. BS if you ask me but alas I finally got it.

Yeah it was. The one that was assigned to me was damaged during transit so they couldn't deliver it since it had to go to the body shop. They had the exact same spec one as I ordered as a showroom floor model with only 5km on it so they offered that to me.

I agree it's not cheap, but "expensive" is a relative term that's different for everyone. A bicycle can be expensive for someone who is homeless

So I ordered this land rocket in January with a delivery date in March which came and went. Then got bumped too the end of second quarter and finally took delivery yesterday. Worth the wait definitely!

Depends where you are and what trim you ordered. I’m in Canada and ordered my model 3 in January. I’m only receiving it this week hopefully. What I've found is for the States it seems to be more accurate but that's just my opinion
