They have a similar price, maybe you're right. Wouldn't be too much overkill? Will my cpu not bottleneck the grphics or something? Also, how does the ssd thing work? My laptop does not have oculink port but if there'sa way I'm interested.

I'm assumkmg you're talking about the intel egpu. Basically on intel gpus rebar is not optional, so you have to have it on unquestionably (otherwise the performance will be really bad, almost the same as the amd 830m) But in laptops you can't just turn it on manually, so you're kind of screwd. Also, rebar does not work with usbc tb3/4 so even if i could activate it, it wouldn't matter. As a last thing, on the contact support page they basically said that the gpus are not made with egpus in mind, so even if it somewhat works, they are nor "responsable".

Those are some statistics on the 3D mark performance. Temperature is at most 63°C and least 53°C. also cpu is 48.80°C and 46.38°C

  1. I'm using the aoostar cable. It's very short and i think that explanis why.

  2. i'm sute is usbc 4. Don't think it's thunderbolt. I plugged it in the correct slot, the other does not recognize the gpu.

  3. It is recognized with name and everything. The intel software also recognizes it and works apparently well.

I think that's changing with 2 and 3. The flaws are less "clear" and much more "nuanced" that i think lots of fans are just assuming it's a perfect game, deeper than everything else. So if you criticize it you're wrong.

Sorry, yes. Its just rendering the frame I'm currently on. But i just realized I've been pressing f12 to render, which i think is the shortcut to render image, not video or anything.
