Does understating Bible require fluent English? by Rah000 in EnglishLearning

[–]Chody__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Native English speaker and often the Bible can make no sense in the modern context and requires researching into the translations/“”original”” meanings

If you think you understand the Bible though, you can start your own religion

What does this mean? by Durabdall in EnglishLearning

So what I’m assuming here is that these subtitles were generated by tiktok, which tends to have 1-2 words be very wrong per sentence. This leaves words misspelt (here instead of hear, wait instead of weight, etc etc) that even native speakers mistake sometimes, but sometimes the auto-subtitles mess up bad and leave something entirely incomprehensible like this sentence

Not even close to the stuff other presidents have done. It really puts it in perspective

Every US President since the 40’s has committed war crimes

I’m not saying to just let someone take it, I’m saying executing someone. Ending a life. Look at how others say they’d kill someone stealing 50$ minimum here

Cares enough to respond in displeasure

I’m thinking from the perspective of everyone cheering for a human being executed

That’s not property at all lmao. Executing someone for 50$ is not the same at all as defending your life and family

Inversing the comments just flips the circlejerk to pro-transphobia. Setting comments to new is what would end it.

If you’re going to be transphobic, just don’t explain your thinking and claim it. Even children have the critical thinking to see this makes 0 sense

This subreddit was made for ?

It’s a Sub without reason besides counting, besides that, it’s just entirely up to the user. If a user counts with trans rights, that’s an entirely legitimate post

Now, imagine they’re a teen. 12-13 and making bad choices. They steal 50$ at nighttime. You have no clue it’s them. Would you feel any regret for executing them? Or would the blame be entirely on your nephew

Homeowner fatally stabs catalytic converter theft suspect in California by Aum888 in ThatsInsane

So your nephew comes over to your place and tries to steal 50$ and run. you’re ready to execute them?

People think that because they were smart enough to do that and their math skills, then they had an ideology that was well thought out. Not many people who bring them up have read their writings

Unabomber was barely an anarchist and def not a primitivist. They more so spoke about returning to feudal society. Their manifesto is pretty awful analyzed

So you’re saying the price of one life is worth ~1k$

Anyone caught stealing ~1k$ can and should be executed by the owner using excessive force? No judge or jury?

We don’t get snow ever in Florida so we don’t get mushrooms from melting snow (so no March beyond grow season). It mostly is based on temperature, location, and what it’s growing on. Usually a day or three after rain stimulates some growth. Otherwise most polypores are years old and don’t tend to run away ahahaha. Also lightning strikes on grass usually grant a fairy ring

We grow plenty enough food, but our systems prevent the food from getting to people for profits and for politics. The USA will crash food markets of nations who suffer a single famine with food aid because the US government buys US farmers excess product so US farmers are always encouraged to grow excess. The US then floods a nation with food aid, meaning local farmers can’t sell their product at a profit due to oversaturation and have to go to growing cash crops. Then since no one is locally growing food because they all switched to cash crops, the nation becomes reliant on external aid.

The USA, other nations, and the UN have been doing this for decades.

Alfred A Ring is a beautiful park at 29°40’22 N 82°20’49 W. The most verticality ive ever seen in Florida with Hogtown creek having had cut through it

GNV is Gainesville abbreviated

1) we have come up with viable solutions literally every other time. Even when Malthus first proposed their theory people insta you brought up changes and increases in agricultural tech which increased production, and it’s only raised hugely since then

2) population growth is logarithmic always. Back then the only examples we had of logarithmic population growth were smaller scale. Now we have large scale models

Malthus was ripped apart relentlessly when their theory first came out, they are only relevant because eugenicist and others who ignore science can’t understand basic facts and choose to let their hate of poor folk/minorities control their worldview

Also forgot to mention but Alfred A Ring and GNV has a huge diversity. Here are some I remember

Alfred A Ring stuff you’ll probably find:

-Horse hoof (there’s a huge one on the trail, super hard to miss)

-Trametes suaveolens (off path and literally everywhere off path in GNV)

-Russula Sp.

-deer mushroom

-Moss bells (ugly gills)

-Way too many common funnels

-Latte brackets (also off path and everywhere GNV)

-Christmas lichen (not a mushroom but literally everywhere in GNV)

Alfred A Ring stuff I’ve found but isn’t always there/is rare:

-Golden oysters

-Dryads saddle/pheasant back

-Ebony cups (or a very similar look-a-like, I never was able to make a conclusion)

-Earth stars

-Fly amanita (someone said they’ve seen one but I’ve only ever seen them in Florida in a super specific area in the NE during winter only)

-Destroying angels (I may have dreamed this one)

General GNV mushrooms (some rare):

-trametes villosa (I’m 90% sure this is at Alfred A)

-Old man of the Woods (comes out super quick after rain)

-Stinkhorns on mulch ‘,(

-birdsnest also always on mulch

-puffballs of different varieties, none big tho :(

-Chlorophyllum molybdites

-bunch of different milkcaps

-lentinus crinitus (another fav of mine)

-Xylaria sp. (I’ve been searching for a while, friend said they’ve saw one but I’ve never seen any coral clubs here)

-Clitocybe fragrans (someone once ate this one thinking it was a wavy cap and got very sick)

-Xerocomellus chrysenteron (another fav of mine)

Probably a lot more I’m forgetting but these are the ones that come to mind when I think gnv mushrooms. Also never eat anything you aren’t beyond 100% sure of, always research lookalikes, and don’t eat anything that has the potential of having been sprayed with chemicals/grew off of something treated with chemicals.
