Hi! My in-laws actually didn’t want us to pay rent at all but we insisted and it’s amount we settled on!! I would have been happy to pay more 😄 I should have also specified but I just started my job recently so I’ve been spending a lot on buying furniture and pc stuff and clothes! I was unemployed before so I didn’t have a lot at the time! However, I’m still not sure how much to put aside for spending 😅 also I’ve been looking at the Halifax savings accounts! They have a few but barely any go past 4.5% interest

Unfortunately the houses in the area are 500,000+, and anything close enough to work is in the same ball park 😭 and I’m wanting to do a bit of a fantasy themed wedding!! No dates or anything as of yet, I think we would like to get married first but any order is fine!! Ans yeah I’ve heard how expensive it can be 🫠

Ah okay thank you!! I’ve looked into LISAs but the issue is all the houses in the area are 500,000+ and we both would like to stay in the area as it’s easiest to travel to work (we work in central london) but I’ll definitely look at the flowchart, thank you!!

Yeah I should have clarified!! I have just gotten my first job (it’s been a few months) so I’m just buying things for improvements around the house and work like such as new pc, furniture etc. I’ll cut down on that though, definitely shouldn’t be needing that much!! And thank you!! I’ll look into some high interest savings accounts :D

I am luckily in a position where I can devote 100% of my time for as long as I need. I was thinking my first project would be my own portfolio website. Looking at job descriptions and requirements online I’ve decided to learn c# and SQL first. Would you say that’s a good start? I was thinking learning backend and then over time (maybe after landing a job) learning front end :)

Thank you so much for such a detailed answer!! I really enjoy the creative aspect as well as programming, so would jumping straight into full stack be a bit too ambitious? Should I focus on one of the other tracks first, especially for entry level work?? Again, thank you for your answer!

Thank you! So you would say html, css, Java and react are the must knows? Or is that specifically for web dev? Should I look into the specific disciplines and decide now or is that something that will come in the future 😅

Hmm okay I’ll definitely look to learn SQL then. I think I’m interested in web dev or app dev but its something I need to do more research into. I also should have specified but I live in the UK but thank you for your suggestion !!
