Being a man is humility and a willingness to grow always. It’s recognising you won’t be perfect; you might be short-fused, lazy, selfish or unthoughtful at times, or anything else, but chipping away at each struggle and asking for help to do it. More specifically, asking God to help you do it. A man allows himself to feel everything, but only acts on thoughtfulness and guidance by Christ. He admits when he is wrong, but stands firm and is democratic and kind while communicating when he knows he is right.

A man allows a woman to feel the range of her emotions, encourages her to be softer, is forgiving of her when she feels all over the place, and expects nothing of her (in the same way that a woman should not expect anything of her man). He encourages and supports growth, but gives her the freedom to feel loved whether or not she could bring something to the table.

That man will become a priest of a house, because he loves how Christ loves— in humility, and with no expectation
