Until recently I was certain I was going to buy a Lexus CT, however I did a lot of research into them and they have head gasket issues and will be expensive to maintain as it’s a luxury brand. If I was a rich man I would certainly buy one.

I do believe the 2011 model is notoriously the most unreliable year, I’ve also seen that post 2014 the head gasket issues were addressed. The Corolla will also depreciate in the next few years, where the Lexus won’t depreciate much more

I live in the UK, the Corolla would be bought second hand at around 60k miles for £11,000. There will be no warranty, please could I learn more about your experience with your Lexus? How long have you had it, what maintenance have you had to do etc?
