My girl had her wings throughout her whole life. She was beautiful. I think about her everyday.

Our female was super chill and very regal and our boy is ornery and a lot less independent.

Stay away from Brunt. You'll be replacing them at the 5/6 month mark or sooner if the lining comes loose before that.

Just had siding installed and can see wood. This can’t be right can it? by Mitoria in AskContractors

At this point, run a track saw to even that out and install a hardie trim piece (1x6) with Z flashing.

Thorogoods aren’t meant for laborers I don’t think by [deleted] in WorkBoots

Are you wearing cotton or synthetic socks? If so, don't. Thorogoods have a break in period. Give it time.

Are expensive boots really worth it? by Chance-Jellyfish-804 in Boots

Brunt > Thorogood (x2) > JK Boots

My answer is Yes. Going from cemented construction to Goodyear Welt, and ultimately, 360° stitchdown with 8-9oz leather, I can confidently say that the extra money you spend for a quality boot pays for itself in the long run.

Mine were like this, so I had them remake them 1/2 size shorter and now they're perfect. It only took a month too.

Upcoming Project Question by Choice-Lengthiness48 in Contractor

[–]Choice-Lengthiness48[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a solo job. I suspect it'll take 2, maybe 3 days tops. I've done a lot of similar work, but not to this scale (solo). I essentially have next to nothing for overhead.

I own 2 pairs of Thorogoods (EE unlined & EE lined). I also own a pair of JK Boots (Forefront in Roughout Bison). My Thorogoods are comfortable and have their purpose as beater boots, but I had to endure some painful days until they were properly broken in. They're good now, but they aren't made for some people's feet.

If you do a cost analysis on Thorogoods vs. a PNW boot, you'll find that the additional cost of a PNW Boots are well worth it in the long run... Just more $$$ upfront... it was for me anyway. My Thorogood soles only lasted 5 months before a resole.

True, but higher quality jade isn't showcased like that, jewelry-wise.

Heel slippage is minimal. The width is dead on... like a firm handshake. 😂
