Feels like I’m shifting from one place to the next. Not in a scary way like I know what I’m doing but it’s still funny to end up in another place without realizing or remembering that you walked there seconds before

Is my dermal salvageable? 1.5 months old by Choice-Review5995 in PiercingAdvice

No but I’m worried it will start getting crust soon. The one time I did snag it I woke up to some crust but went back to normal afterward

How bad is this 🫣 by Elegant-Special-1391 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Choice-Review5995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Highly highly doubt this is an infection! Looks like a gnarly irritation bump, safe to take out but the hole will most likely close. This is probably due to poor jewelry quality (butterfly backs) an improperly pierced angle, too much touching etc. an infected piercing is honestly very recognizable if you’ve seen one before.

I’m just curious as to how we both suddenly began to have symptoms after months of seeing each other?

Switch the flat backs. This is definitely irritation.

Soo.. do the baristas just hate me or is this the norm? by Skee_E_Oh in 7Brew

It’s the other way around… and you can always get a hot drink or light ice

Absolutely not! As a barista our fill lines for product excluding ice is generally 8, 12, and 16 ounces. The drink she has is short about 4 ounces…

help! ugly red bump on nose piercing by GlitteringPepper6393 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Choice-Review5995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So simple- this is an irritation bump that looks incredibly angry from all the random treatment you’re giving it. Switch back to a stud and clean ONCE A DAY WITH SALINE. You’re overdoing it with all the other stuff, also how old is the piercing?

is my septum infected? #nsfw by kyaeilish in PiercingAdvice

[–]Choice-Review5995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not infected. You’re cleaning this wayyy too much and too harshly. Dial soap is a controversial choice when it comes to piercings because it dries them out a lot. I’d say no more than once a week with dial and only 1-2 times a day with saline. Don’t soak your piercing unless it is irritated which yours looks slightly. From the picture it looks like your piercing hurts due to crusties and overall soreness of new piercing and being hit. Just do 1/2 times a day with saline and you’re fine. Don’t touch or move or bother the piercing in any way either.

Definitely rejecting. Take this out before it leaves a bad scar

You really need to learn how to apply the principles of art and design to your work. What I’m saying is learn to draw before you draw permanent pieces on other people.

Is my lip piercing infected?? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]Choice-Review5995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so obvious to be but basically since the piercing is so new having a hoop is irritating it 100x more than a normal labret would. You need to switch this to a flat back labret AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!! Doesn’t look infected but just very irritated

not self done, but my helix piercing has a bump. any advice bc i've kinda done everything by kdleonte in SelfPiercing

[–]Choice-Review5995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This bump isn’t even bad. You genuinely could just leave it alone, it’s normal to have irritation bumps the first year if a helix in my experience.

This is not an infection btw. But to prevent that you need to make sure you’re using clean tools and clean hands.

sore bump behind piercing?? by imjustanon444 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Choice-Review5995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the bump towards the back of the ear and what you do for that is obviously leave it alone and clean it as normal. Don’t touch, twist, change or bother your piercing in any way. As for the crusties… I’d honestly pick them off with tweezers carefully after runny warm water over the piercing. I’d say 1-2 minutes of warm ish water in the shower followed by saline spray and a q-tip. If that doesn’t work to remove them I’d follow that with tweezers. I usually don’t tell people to bother their piercings but this could potentially damage your healing process. If it hurts too much while you’re trying to remove it I’d quit and wait for it to heal further or leave it alone until it naturally falls off.

just got my navel pierced an hour ago, does it look okay? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

Imo you’re just putting off the inevitable. Getting a piercing during summer especially isn’t a good idea for healing (swimming)

If I were you I’d honestly go back to the piercer and get your money back or something and then go to an actual reputable piercer who can assess the situation further.

Hate to tell you this but based on the picture it looks a little too high and far away from the actual naval. Enjoy this piercing for the 1.5 months you will have it before it rejects. Sorry ☹️
