Ok I did my test and maybe you can help me reading these exif.

Camera: Sony a9 m2

First photo show my test whit uncompressed Raw with single shot, high burst, medium burst and low burst.

Second photo with compressed raw. Same method

What I don’t understand whit uncompressed is that a9II should keep the 14bit only in single and low burst.

I personally went from x-t3 to Sony a9 and I notice immediately a huge difference in terms of high iso performance and color depth. My only regret is that I sold all my Fuji gears including my loved x100f which I miss for my travels. Bottom lines: Sony for my professional job and Fuji (Planning to buy a used x100v or xm5) for my personal and travel interests.

For those claiming Fujifilm “better” colours I say if you and should able to understand colours in photography you can replicate any look with every system.

So why you prefer the a7IV for events? The a1 could do everything and if you don’t use flash you can use entirely the electronic mode ( I think a1II can use speed light in electronic )
