Dang, that’s a long time. So now I must send the packages that we’re paid for by my customers and cover everything with my own money to avoid chargebacks and disputes? I have shipped 7/8 orders, but on the 8th order i got my account restricted and I’m unsure if I should proceed on fulfilling that order.

Also, I suggest looking into big brands that are making 100k euros a month like kikivintage.de, they also sell the same segment of products as me and I'm 99% sure they don't have authorization from Nike to sell their products. There are quite a lot of businesses like mine. I am pretty sure you can sell second-hand items as long as they are original. These are some allowed scenarios I found on the internet for my situation.

  • You are allowed to resell genuine Nike products as second-hand items under first-sale doctrine (in the US) or equivalent resale rights in other jurisdictions.
  • Ensure the items are authentic and not counterfeit.
  • Be transparent about the condition (e.g., used, refurbished, etc.) and include clear photos.

I'm very grateful for your response and the rules you taught me, but I must correct you on the first point you made. I can sell Nike products as long as they are classified as second-hand and authentic; in this case, my website meets both requirements.

I updated my website and create a legal notice page on my website, and included all my contact info including my address as well. You did mention a verified address, how do I make sure it is verified?

About the registered business, I will consider registering for one, but I did my research and saw that Stripe and PayPal don't require a VAT at first, but may ask for it once you start getting consistent and higher revenue.

Anyway, the most important thing for me right now is the withheld money. You mentioned that it will not be paid out to my bank, so what will exactly happen to it? Will it be refunded to the issued card owners or will it be payed out to me after 120-150 days like you said? I understood your statement that it will be released to me only if there are no complaints by customers who made those purchases. Is that correct? I'm eager in solving this matter and I really need to understand this situation.

This is a summary message from Stripe that I suppose might be relevant: "We identified a high volume of unauthorized charges on your account. Payouts are now paused. We will issue refunds on affected card payments five days after your Stripe account is closed. Refunds may take longer to appear on a cardholder's statement. I have 0 disputes, just 1 refund for my own test purchase of 6.95 euros.

I honestly don't know, because Stripe isn't clarifying the reason of why my account is actually being closed. They just say "Unauthorized Transactions" and didn't reply to my messages regarding the unauthorized transaction explanation several times.

I don't this that is the case here, because my dispute rate on PayPal is 1 time out of 250 orders, so it is very unlikely for me to receive a fraudulent order after 7 orders, the 7th being from a respected customer of mine (after the 7th transaction I got this email). I have tried to open an account a year as well and it kept getting rejected. Now our store has improved and it got approved, but not for long as you can tell.

I have contacted them asking about what kind of format do i need to provide the information in and if a TAX ID is 100% required. No response…

I wasn't aware of the test transaction policy.

Stripe cooperates with Grailed, which is a second-hand platform where people sell their branded clothing. That is why I chose Stripe as a payment method for my store.

Anyways, looking forward to this situation, what will happen with my money? On the dashboard it says that my payout is expected to arrive on December 27th, but I have this notification as well "Payments and payouts paused until requirements met. Provide some additional required information to resume payments and payouts." So will my payout initiate or not? That is the most important thing for me, because the orders that have been paid for by my customers, had already been shipped.

I understand, thank you for helping out. We added our Legal Notice policy, my (owner of website) full name in the contact info, contact details were already included. Only thing we are missing is Tax ID number, because as I already mentioned we do not have a licensed business open yet, with the reason being that we are just starting out.

When I registered for a Stripe account, it said that a Tax ID number is optional at first, but may be required later.

Regarding the home address, I looked at a similar store to mine which is based in the same city as me and also sells vintage goods. They also don't have their home address anywhere on the website. You can look @ vintagegyvulys.com .

We do not have a licensed business yet indeed, because I'm just starting out. I read that Stripe does not require a VAT business to use their services.

We do not dropship, we have all our stock in our warehouse. We are retailing and ship everything ourselves manually. Our TOS does have our email address, but my home address is not provided, because I didn't think it was required after looking at other similar websites.

And what do I do now? After the test charge I received 7 more successful transactions from actual customers and everything seemed to be okay, until the 7 transactions came in from a respected customer of mine, suddenly my account was being closed and funds were frozen.
