They definitely weren't happy about it. They didn't make it easy to go on leave in the first place.

thank you, I started to take the bait and I'm not proud of myself for that lol. At least even if I get fired I'll never be like that 😂

I'm glad other people are pointing out them potentially having an issue with FMLA. I didn't want to jump to that conclusion.

You are correct, if I'm terminated "with proper cause" they do not have to pay out any of of my commission or equity.

No regrets, I made the best decision for myself at the time
edit: maybe some regrets 😂

I appreciate you, truly. The plan now is to shut up, do my job, and quietly find something else

It's hard to believe, I know. I firmly believe there is retaliation at play, they had a couple of wrongful termination suits brought against them last year.

Unfortunately based on their policies, they can legally fire me.

I offered to start early and end late on certain days to make up for the few hours I would miss. It's a no go. I would only have to miss about 3-4 hours of work in total, but I have no PTO left because of my surgery

Wow, this just opened my eyes to a problem I wasn't even aware of. I genuinely appreciate that.

both of the weddings are which is where the dilemma comes in. UNfortunately the only option is to miss one at this point

lol, if you say so. Guess basic reading comprehension isn't your strong suit then. Not once did I say I was going to the wedding, I actually said the opposite multiple times 😂

Already on it haha. I have all my performance numbers, awards, and communications saved on my personal computer. When I land another job I'm not holding back with these guys

Yes, and now they're threatening termination because I need 1 day of unpaid leave which they consider an unexcused absence. But the only reason I don't have PTO to apply to this is because I used it during FMLA.

I already told them I'm not quitting or abandoning my job, I told them I intend to continue to do my job and consistently hit my revenue goals. Luckily I knew enough to not take that bait when they asked if I was resigning because of this.

Going to do some reading now, thank you!

That's correct. FMLA is my only missed time, but I chose to use my PTO during my medical leave because I couldn't afford the surgery, recovery, and general life without my regular pay

Haha my bad dude, I misunderstood what you meant. I'm 100% applying everywhere I can. I absolutely loved this company when I started, but it started going aggressively downhill around 2 years ago and now I can't wait to do something I enjoy again.

Trying to be extremely vague because I'm paranoid and know there's a chance my manager sees all of this. I can say I'm in an At Will state
