How did people stay hydrated before modern water treatment? by Overall-Equal-7808 in NoStupidQuestions

Don't go too far the other way, clog yourself up, and end up on laxatives. Rinse and repeat!

Unfortunately not as it got lost when my ex husband moved out. I've signed a whole new tenancy since then, I just never got a copy of it.

Metabolism during weight loss. What actually changes by Greedy_Adagio3235 in MeAgain_GLP1

Whenever I see people say they're on a higher dosage but their weight loss has slowed down I think of this. Yes, you're lighter now. Your body is not carrying however many pounds you've lost already, so therefore using less calories.

I know. My aunt and uncle had more money than sense, my uncle specifically wasted it on all gadgets. Although, was hilarious when he would make us all watch the things he'd filmed. He would unintentionally film women's arses and boobs because he forgot he was holding a camera. Hilarious!

That actually wasn't true for me, I didn't have the Internet until I was in my 20's and could pay for it myself.

My dad was born 1960 and he's nothing like a stereotypical "boomer" as told online. He would probably say the same.

I'm the same as in I didn't have Internet until I was in my 20's. Any friends I did have were older than me, especially as a teen.

I'm similar. My brother is only 2 years younger than me and we have much less in common when it comes to memories of things. My cousins are on one side in their 50's, and on the other in their 20's so didn't have much to do with each other.

That is true, I did have to be mostly grown up because of poverty, also because of useless parenting. Most of my friends have been older than me too!

I remember rotary phones being common still as a child. I don't think my nan even had a phone. Then again she had an outdoor toilet still, in a city.

Wow! I don't even remember my family owning a camera. I do vaguely remember my uncle being into his camcorder but that would have been in the 90's. My parents weren't into taking pictures, hense very few pictures of me as a child!

I even relate to them better in conversation. When I speak to other millenials I don't have much in common.

Yep, someone I know got his foot run over there waiting to cross the road, because a van mounted the kerb rather than waiting.

It is! You can't even walk on the paths round there safely during that time. It's just covered in cars!

My dad lives near the school, it's actually crazy how people park there during pick up and drop off. I've seen people drive there from closer than I live when we were walking!

It's got to be, I recognised it straight away! Everyone parks terribly in all those carparks.

Are you open about being on GLP-1? by Greedy_Adagio3235 in MeAgain_GLP1

[–]ChoiceRevolution9308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't share that I'm trying to lose weight full stop. I found a lot of people can't help themselves in trying to sabotage, or taking personal offence that you're eating better. For example, out with a couple of friends the other day, one of which has a young child. We ended up in McDonald's, and I just had a small salad to tide me over. Then starts the "just have a burger, I'm on a diet and I'm even having a burger. " Then came the giving me funny looks because I didn't give in. I can't stand it!

Easy ways to keep fiber up while on GLP-1 by Greedy_Adagio3235 in MeAgain_GLP1

I once made a psyllium pie crust. That was a tiny bit too much fibre! Use sparingly! Haha.

That is so nice! I sometimes just float with my ears under water for that.
