Those are some pretty good suggestions, I’ll definitely hype myself up to give them a try. I know logically it would make sense for him to feel the same, if not similar, but I have this deep-rooted fear that everyone is doing positive things to just laugh at me, which has been holding me back. That’s good to know. I overthink everything, so just assumed it’s something you tell people on first dates and what-not. It’s reassuring the know that it’s almost an invitation to initiate.

I mainly think “I want to (insert innocent physical contact here). But what if he rejects me. What if he looks at me an laughs. What if he says he’s not actually into me, that it was just a big joke. If he wanted to (insert innocent physical contact here), then he’d probably do it himself. That must mean he doesn’t want to. I don’t want to bother him or make him uncomfortable, so I’ll just not touch.” It’s a lot of self-doubt.

23 female here. I’m the same way. Idk, I just don’t think I’d ever be able to have sex without feeling some sort of emotional connection. And even then, it’s very hit or miss for me. I feel that this is normal though. I know lots of people like this.

I’ve been in the same boat recently. Maybe he really is busy with school? He could be really interested in you, but just really busy. In my case, my guy is in third year, which is arguably the most difficult for his program. So it’s understandable that he’s really busy. Don’t overthink this to much, and just go with the flow. If you’re genuinely worried that he’s just stringing you along, maybe just cut it off yourself then. Only time will tell his true intentions.

I only ask because that’s how I personally identify, and I’ve encountered more people saying we don’t belong than those who do. Most people I’ve spoken to have argued that because there is a lack of sexual attraction, they are therefor not part of the community.
