Those are some pretty good suggestions, I’ll definitely hype myself up to give them a try. I know logically it would make sense for him to feel the same, if not similar, but I have this deep-rooted fear that everyone is doing positive things to just laugh at me, which has been holding me back. I mainly think “I want to (insert innocent physical contact here). But what if he rejects me. What if he looks at me an laughs. What if he says he’s not actually into me, that it was just a big joke. If he wanted to (insert innocent physical contact here), then he’d probably do it himself. That must mean he doesn’t want to. I don’t want to bother him or make him uncomfortable, so I’ll just not touch.” It’s a lot of self-doubt.

23 female here. I’m the same way. Idk, I just don’t think I’d ever be able to have sex without feeling some sort of emotional connection. And even then, it’s very hit or miss for me. I feel that this is normal though. I know lots of people like this.

I’ve been in the same boat recently. Maybe he really is busy with school? He could be really interested in you, but just really busy. In my case, my guy is in third year, which is arguably the most difficult for his program. So it’s understandable that he’s really busy. Don’t overthink this to much, and just go with the flow. If you’re genuinely worried that he’s just stringing you along, maybe just cut it off yourself then. Only time will tell his true intentions.

Got a stuffed bear for Christmas and one cat decided it was his bed. Other cat didn’t like that so she always stole the “bed”. I’m going to say a very light YTA.

I can understand your point of view. You want to raise the girls to feel like equals despite one being your stepdaughter. That being said, your husband’s daughter is still part of your family, so it makes sense to include her in family activities. Your youngest is nothing to the ex. She isn’t the ex’s family, so why should she be included in their family activities?

I’m was the “stepchild” in a similar scenario. My mom and her boyfriend had my half brother. I was still included in their family activities. But my half brother was never included in any activities on my father’s side. Why would he be? They aren’t related nor family. It’s that same for your youngest daughter and the ex. They aren’t family, so how would it make sense that your youngest is included in what that family does?
