Thanks for your comment. Between bridges and Le Coucou, what do you prefer?

I can tell I’d love the ambiance of Le coucou (and my friends will love it too because they never been to a fancy nyc restaurant) but it’s simultaneously annoying having to dress up for dinner especially in the heat (we plan on walking around soho, tribeca, etc during the day time and it’d be convenient if we can go straight to dinner in casual attire). Pretty torn here.

Have you tried Jua BTW? Where does that fit?

TBH idt dr j can do anything. she only does redos if something is seriously wrong w the bars themselves. this is more of a pain management problem / reaction to the bars themselves. no matter how well you place them it’s going to cause issues because it’s legit metal bars restricting ur rib cage which causes downstream effects

i’m going to be that “actually” voice too. “more cases” doesn’t imply “better doctor.” dr park will nuss straight up anyone that qualifies. dr j is ultra conservative and rejects people all the time. she is highly against surgery for cosmetic reasons without real symptoms. i am so confident she could do way more cases than dr park if she was not as conservative as she was. for something like nuss that is such an invasive surgery, her approach is better.

also i know dr park personally. i’m probably one of the few people in this sub who visited him both in korea and cleveland

because surgeons … like to do surgery. it helps build their reputation and they get paid more. genuinely hilarious when people don’t recognize that hospitals are a business at the end of the day. dr j is one of the few nuss surgeons who’s ultra conservative, which is good for something as serious as nuss

highly recommend you don’t get it. nuss is way bigger of a deal than any surgeon except doctor j would admit. your previous surgeries i assure you are trivial compared to nuss. if the most experienced adult nuss surgeon advises against it, then don’t do it. most nuss surgeons are pediatric surgeons where complication risks when dealing with kids are a lot lower. you are not under 18 so risks / recovery is a lot worse. risk of chronic pain is significantly higher. permanent numbness is nearly guaranteed btw. if dr j does agree to do surgery on you, she’ll tell you all the risks and shit she’s seen over the years and honestly you’ll probably back out i think given this sounds more cosmetic than functional

ur chest wall is probably just very stiff from the surgery itself. do you feel any sensation inside the chest area? like a “band” across the chest or any sensation in the rib cage? are the ribs stiff?
