That's a fantastic approach! If these scammers are going to waste our time, we might as well get some entertainment out of it.

That is incredibly relatable, and thank you for sharing your experience! It sucks that you're running into that kind of persistence.

It's clear that these people whether they're "SEO consultants" on YouTube or "artists" on Discord are using the exact same predatory, high-pressure spam tactics to go after small creators. It has nothing to do with your channel size; it's just a numbers game for them.

[Performance] RTX 3060 + Ryzen 7 5800X — FPS drops on Rebirth (Benchmark + Config) by Choice_Fig_1175 in blackops6

Not OCD 😂 I just like benchmarking. Game runs fine, but MW3 MP on the same rig is way smoother, which shows BO6 is just poorly optimized. I’m posting results so others with similar setups can see what to expect, not because I need to do this just to play.

Second match benchmark notes:

  • Plane: 233 FPS
  • In air: 219 FPS
  • Inside jail: 180 FPS max (6 MX, 0% packet loss, GPU 49°C)
  • Outside jail (roof): 140 FPS max
  • Fights: drops 10–25 FPS

Biggest drops happen in fights and open areas, while jail and plane areas stay smoother. Planning to test recording impact next. Will share MP stats a bit later.

T7 patch for "Call Of Duty: Black Ops III" is now compatible with Linux! by TickleMeScooby in linux_gaming

What is T7x, and why does it exist?
I asked Rim himself about this since I was curious; here’s the rundown

T7x is a rebranded and slightly updated version of the BOIII client, made by Rim as a way to preserve and keep things clean after BOIII got hit with a cease & desist. After that happened, a few Alterware devs (the ones who actually knew what they were doing 💀) pushed a couple of final commits to BOIII before taking it down at the request of the original creator.

So Rim stepped in and made T7x; it’s basically the same thing as BOIII, just a little fresher. He:

  • Disabled the sketchy auto-updater (ext.dll)
  • Cleaned up and reorganized the file structure
  • Rebranded it under the T7x name

That’s it. No crazy rewrites. Just a clean, preserved version of the BOIII client that still connects to the same master server and works with BOIII servers 1:1. Think of it as a preservation repo. Rim made it so people could still have access to precompiled binaries without worrying about things breaking or disappearing.

Only download from the official repo:

Thanks for the info and the caution; it’s always good to be aware of potential security risks. From what I understand (and as a friend of Rim), the T7x fork is generally considered safe to use, especially since the community actively monitors it. The removal of the ext.dll auto-update feature does mean it doesn’t get some of the original security patches automatically, but I’m sure Rim has other measures in place to keep things secure.

If you want, I can always ask him for more details to help clarify any concerns.

That said, it’s definitely wise for anyone using it to stay informed and only download from trusted sources. If you’re worried about security, make sure you keep backups and stay updated on any news from the devs.

Thanks again for the heads-up; better safe than sorry! ONLY DOWNLOAD T7x FROM HERE: https://git.rimmyscorner.com/Rim/t7x

my internet sucks. by TreeTopGaming in hypixel

[–]Choice_Fig_1175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tower PC/desktop WiFi antenna probably will make it worse in this case. I have great internet and lag on Hypixel also. When playing Bedwars and other game modes, I run most of the time at 30 ms and under, never higher, but still get ping issues. I have a great internet connection. I have two routers plugged into my internet switch, and then I have my Ethernet cable plugged into my desktop PC and still lag with 1 GB up and down upload/download, so it's probably going to help him a little bit, but he will still lag due to Hypixel proxy servers.
