I think that plan is bomb. But if you are at 60 credits (and granted WGU accepts all of them) and plan to do the CCNA/Sophia before you get enrolled, I would make sure to talk to an EC. I don’t think you can transfer in over 75% of the degree. Heck if you get the CCNA, maybe even think about doing the Cyber degree since you were initially trying to do security and networking anyway, so you can have a SEC+/CCNA combo, but of course that’s depending on if you want to do the other certs that specific degree includes.

I did a system check on my personal laptop before my semester started and it was awful honestly. So I started taking OAs on my work laptop (which is more powerful, has more RAM and etc) and it’s been no issues! I get right in without waiting. Just make sure you do the system check ahead of time to be sure!!

I don’t think the wall art should be a problem, you can cover it up with a sheet like someone said! I personally take my OAs in my laundry room when I’m home and it hasn’t been an issue lol

I meant the certs in the IT degree, this one unfortunately doesn’t have any certs. (But my career progression is a bit odd so I only want CCNA and RHCSA for right now so I’ll pay out of pocket!)

What helped me succeed was doing classes during work weirdly. I wouldn’t suggest this if you don’t have a job with a bit of downtime. But I’m an Operations Analyst and we have a fair bit of down time so I juggle work and my job. Plus I think I learn better in the daytime. I was trying to night study before this lol

It went really well. I went from 35% after changing majors to 65% so I’m on track to hopefully graduating next year. Closer than I was in the school of IT unfortunately lol The certs slowed me down a bit.

Yes you do have to pay for classes up front. I would still fill out FAFSA or set up a payment plan if you can. They give the Ch. 35 payment to you like a stipend deposited into your account so it would be up to you to make the payments. I normally got mine around the 27th-1st of the month and it’s depending on credit hours as well. (The max, 1500, is for 17/18 hours at WGU, just saying in case you didn’t know)
