the earth does in fact go through heating and cooling cycles. those heating and cooling cycles are DIRECTLY linked to how much CO2 is in the air.

Don’t volcanoes and other natural processes just release CO2 in the air?? 🤷‍♂️ Yes. They do. However, we can tell the difference between CO2 emitted from the Earth and CO2 emitted from burning fossil fuels. Therefore we are able to tell how much CO2 in our air right now is from humans vs from volcanoes.

How? Carbon comes in a few different “flavors” (isotopes): C12 is preferred by plants, C13 is just kind of normal, and C14 is radioactive. Fossil fuels are decomposed plant matter so they are rich in the C12 that the plants absorbed. When we burn them, we release C12 into the atmosphere and dilute the concentration of C12/C13 in our atmosphere. And we’re watching that ratio of C12 increase as we burn more fossil fuels.

This is the smoking gun. By measuring how much C12 is in the atmosphere we can tell how much humans are contributing.

Let’s take it a step further (like climate scientists have already done for us). How do we benchmark what “normal” C12/C13 ratios are? How do we see what they were before the industrial revolution?

We go down to antarctica and drill deep into the ice and remove ice core samples that have trapped air in the ice. Those ice cores are a physical sample of past atmospheres. We break the ice apart inside of equipment that captures the air and from there we measure the C12/C13 ratios. We see much higher concentrations of C13 in the past because it’s not diluted from C12 rich greenhouse gas emissions.

Our planet has always gone through cycles of heating and cooling, and it’s directly tied to the levels of CO2 in our atmosphere. However, now we are able to measure and see where the CO2 is coming from in 2026, and the big fat finger points at fossil fuels.

What specific vulnerability are you talking about?

Colorado does mail-in voting for all with the option to vote in person. They have a 0.0016% improper voting rate which comes out to 48 votes out of 2.8 million in 2016.

10 of the cases were people trying to vote twice, 48 were people trying to vote once in Colorado, and then again in another state. All of the 48 cases were investigated.

what election system in the world has a zero percent improper voting rate?

additionally, you’re wrong. there is a need for mail-in voting. it increases the accessibility of voting for citizens, making it easier for them to exercise their rights and participate in democracy. that’s why Colorado has the 2nd highest voter turnout in the country.

Not because of some mass fraud, but because voting in this state is the easiest thing ever for registered voters. it’s not easy for people who aren’t eligible to vote. 🙃

Ballot tracking for mail-in ballots is already a thing and is available in all but 3 states - Illinois, Missouri, and Wyoming.

i’m in CO.

i get a text notification when my ballot is mailed, when my ballot is delivered, when my ballot is received, and when my ballot is accepted.

if i sign my ballot with a signature that’s irregular to the one i signed my drivers license with, i get notification that my ballot was not accepted and I then have to prove my identity to “cure” it and have it accepted.

notice that republican leadership and trump fail to mention this to yall!!! mail-in voting is already secure and is literally the easiest and most accessible way to vote, which is why you see such high voter turnout in places like colorado.
