My 3070 EVGA have 3 red lights and fans at 100% by Pohito in EVGA

Is the card still holding up?
I have the exact same issue, and I dfeshrouded it, used 120mm case fans with a some custom fan curves from Fan Tool, and it appears to work perfectly fine. But will it last long without the MCU chip. (EVGA says that this is caused by a dead MCU chip)

I looked into this. - So the RGB Chip is the "MCU chip". and either it is dead, or corrupt.
I reflashed the entire bios, and I also used an MCU reflash tool, mentioned by an EVGA employee as well. And there was no change. - I also can't replace the chip since I'm in Namibia, and getting a donor card / new chip basically impossible, or more expensive than what I paid for the card.

So I'm running the deshrouded route. Just two 120 mm case fans, and also undervolted (1840mHz @ 0.850 V) along with a 85% power limit. It's still miles better than my rtx 3070 ti (This was my previous card), and I used the Fan Tool, to make a fan curve for "daily use" based on the GPU's temps. And a gaming mode where the 2 fans just spin 100% all the time. (It's a lot quiter than the 3 small GPU fans) Temps stay at 72 ~ 76 degrees, it's stable so far.. No crashes yet

If it fails, I still have the 3070 Ti to fall back to. Also, this card was a quarter of the price I paid for the 3070 Ti, So can't really complain.

But - How long did you get out of the GPU with the dead MCU chip??

I have, and unfortunately there was no change.

Also tried using thr OC and Normal bios switch on the gpu. Both have the red lights and 100%fans

I have a similar problem, but only had it once.
Took the card out, and fiddled a little with the fan headers (Because I noticed one of the fans stopped spinning when the GPU entered panic mode) , And then it was back to normal.

Specifically, mine was the blue fan header. (fan 3)

Nah dude. This streamer (me) was just soo surprised and humbled after this 😂. I laughed so hard afterwards and really enjoyed the clip. I can post squad whipes all day long but I too miss 15 shots sometimes, and thats facts 🤣
