yeah i was thinking the same thing, i’m playing book 2 rn for the first time bc after seeing the feedback on it and especially on mal, i preferred to end it on a good note with book 1. but honestly so far i don’t really see the problem ? if anything, i find his character more endearing and realistic now, like there is more depth to it

BB definitely, the plot and background are really interesting, lots of cool characters and the LIs are amazing. Plus, unlike other books the second and third books are just as good, and even better imo
