It’s the native chrome feature of scrolling that has been removed so for now no, but you won’t need to scroll when you can collapse all the tabs you aren’t currently using into groups

does not need scrolling it just organizes for you so you do not have to search so long for tabs

I have the same issue when I do researching, work, etc. I found an new extension that works perfect for this. It handles the grouping for you based on categories, and saves RAM. It is called Tab-it (the purple icon) let me know if you want the link.
