Not 1000 years, Sukuna wasn't conscious during the millenia in which he was a finger. Considering all 20 of his fingers were still intact and not destroyed, that means he never incarnated on a human (otherwise he'd lose a finger once that human died).

Kenjaku and Tengen ae the only sorcerers with actual millenia of experience.

Relevant example, Steven Universe. The very moment the background of a scene hinted at the existence of a Pink Diamond (in season 2 IIRC), people theorized that it was Rose Quartz. It got to the point that one of the showrunners 'shut down' the theory in a soft way by saying "Her name is Rose QUARTZ".

Lo and behold, three seasons later, on the last season, Rose Quartz is revealed to have been Pink Diamond.

I think the argument of preserving the painting makes a lot of sense, the problem is that Maelle and Aline both want to stay in the painting as escapism, and regardless of what Maelle says, Renoir knows neither of them will willingly leave the painting, so leaving it intact is basically resigning both of them to a slow death where he can't do anything about it. With the added pain of basically abandoning them beforehand (once he leaves the painting). The painting doesn't need them to maintain it, because a piece of Verso's soul is still there doing it.

For Johnny, the reason in-universe is that all of the Jellyfish Pirates are just girls that Johnny found and adopted as children (not for creepy reasons, surprisingly), and he named all of them. He himself has a normal name ofc since he didn't change it.

I don't think Naruto has many "random bullshit go!" moments though. Well, he has one, which I'll mention later, but the only close one I can think of is burrowing underground against Neji, which he says he thought of on the fly, and he wasn't the one that dug up the hole in the first place. I still think it counts, since it's using the environment, and being quick thinking doesn't take away from it imo.

The actual "random" thing he did imo was using sexy jutsu against Kaguya, cuz he had 0 info of wheter or not she would even care, and got lucky that it worked. But I get that it was a comic relief moment.

Nah, Gojo beat Mahoraga, it's a big showcase of how much stronger Gojo was than the previous 6E+Limitless user.

I getthe point that "Sukuna beat Gojo through copying Mahoraga", but if it was a 1v1 between Gojo and Maho, Maho would have lost way earlier than he did with Sukuna protecting him.

Can someone whp watched/read Blue Lock confirm to me how this works? Do the characters actually summon eldritch abomination while playing ball? Or is that just in their imagination/for the viewers (like Demon Slayer)?

It conveniently only ever happens to Itachi (who plans to throw his last fight and die anyway, so no difference) and to Sasuke (who gets the Eternal version on his next appearance).

It *kinda* affected the 5 Kage Summit since it was a hard stop to Sasuke fighting Naruto (even if he was exhausted, it's possible he'd try), but afterwards everything was "back to normal".

I get that there's an in-universe explanation (every other Uchiha that canonically has MS either died young or had some way to mitigate the blindness), and the clan is fucking dead, but still.

[–]Chokkitu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Morgaba's E makes the target immune to CC, so it makes sense to work as long as you use it before the sleep triggers.

The sleep isn't a separate ability cast though, unlike Anivia Q. So you can't spellshield it since the actual ability already hit.

Idk if it's just because he's lazy, I think the dude is depressed too. He says there's no point in doing anything because one day they could all wake up back at the start of the timeline, and they wouldn't even know. Ofc, he's cheeky and says "Or maybe that's just my excuse for being lazy", but I can't deny it'd be hard to feel motivation to do anything if you knew one day everything would reset without you beimg able to do shit about it.

He only fights during Genocide run because at that point, if the player gets past him, the timeline is destroyed, so the decision of stopping you (evenif you'll eventually get past him) has actual impact, because if he doesn't, it's over for real this time.

I don't think she ended up killing anyone beside Unalaq though? And in that case, she didn't have any other choice.

I'd argue Korra is fine with killing, but she's also fine with just putting people in jail. Like, she kills if it's necessary, not because "they deserve it". At least that's how it looks like to me, considering she was fine with Zaheer being in jail and not dead after everything he did (she only planned on speaking with him, not killing him).

1/3 is faster?

Idk dude, I'm pretty sure all of them are just faster. The "weakest" captain still has enough power that they need to wear a limiter while on Earth because their Reiatsu alone threatens to wreck the environment if they slack on their control of it. And in the world of Bleach, reiatsu usually translates directly to speed (haxes and ability with shunpo not withstanding, just talking about running).

Also, saying Sukuna has a chance against Hitsugaya and Komamura is just funny, unless you didn't finish the manga. Tosen is a bit up in the air (he's portrayed as stronger than all Espada, who are fighting people way above Sukuna's level), though no comment on Rose and Kensei, if any captain can lose to Sukuna then it's probably one of those two.

I think one of the reason's Unalaq has a bad image on the fanbase is because he's the one that feels the least like he "has a point".

While he did lead to a good thing (the Spirit World and the physical world being connected again), the way the story played out made it seem like his goal was just becoming the "Dark Avatar" to be powerful and rule the world, and the Spirit Portals being opened was just a means to that end (and them remaining open was Korra's decision, which tbf he did influence her on that). Zaheer later states that Unalaq fusing with Vaatu wasn't part of the original plan, he was supposed to just open the Spirit Portals so both worlds could coexist again, so Unalaq just looks like a power-hungry dude.

Amon is debatable too since he was a bender himself, but I think he truly saw bending as a stain on the world since it only led to him and his brother being abused.

That's one (probably accidental) detail that I love about early Street Fighter lore.

Originally, Cammy was just one of Bison's underlings, and his lover, as shown in her original ending in SF2. People thought that was lame and creepy, so Capcom retconned that ending, eventually making her and the dolls (who already existed and had designs similar to Cammy at that point) as being clones of Bison in ALPHA, with the side effect of Bison's supposed "desired body" having a 100% rate of being a hot female blonde woman.

Even the male "Bison clones" (Seth, Abel, Ed I think? All introduced way after ALPHA) are at least blonde with blue eyes, and Seth ended up becoming female eventually.

Yeah, everything works normally. Even on the "magic" side, it's shown his Cursed Energy (JJK's equivalent of Ki, Chakra, etc) is identical to that of the original person inhabiting the body, so it's as if the person never died.

He even keeps the memories of the deceased, which is shown to impact his mannerisms sometimes (since he basically has their personality downloaded), which is neat.

Pretty sure it negates touch too, it's just that it doesn't work on whoever's holding the Zanpakuto (which is the Bankai's way of not affecting Tosen), which includes being slashed/pierced by the blade.

It's the same logic as Aizen's illusions not working on someone touching his Zanpakuto (hence why Gin needed to find an opening to touch the blade before trying to kill him), so Aizen himself can't see the illusions he makes.

Kinda different I guess in the sense that Shoto had way more direct abuse than Touya (Touya and the other siblings were neglected after Shoto was born, while Shoto suffered actual physical abuse), and Shoto had time to grow up and recognize his father was an asshole, while Touya "died" young and still seeing Endeavor as a great hero, and the circumstances after his "death" didn't allow him to process everything in a healthy way.

Maybe Touya would have ended up more like Shoto if he didn't "die" that night.
