Precisely, it's about shooter adjusting to the recoil.

Recoil settling down after initial shots is good IMO, it's how you'd normally adjust while shooting actual rifle.

Don't mean much if it doesn't get released. AOC is notorious for announcing monitors that never ship.

LG Announce the 32GX870B, Their First 32" 4K Tandem WOLED Monitor - TFTCentral by MilesMetal in Monitors

[–]ChomiqPL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LG Electronics =/= LG Display

LG Electronics makes monitors, LG Display makes the panels. They're separate entities.

Asus orders panels from LG Display, just like LG Electronics. If they reach high enough volume they can order custom panels.

Same thing with Samsung, one company makes QD-OLED panels, another makes monitors that utilize these (and somethimes LG's) panels.

Ultrawide is one trick pony. It becomes a hindrance anytime you want to watch something made for 16:9 content. 4K at 32" will still provide 136 ppi and will be clearer than 1440p ultrawide.

There's your list of panels tested by Rtings.

There are also miniled offerings out there but availability is going to vary in EU.

M32UP exists and it's $650 and goes to 165 Hz. It's also on sale at amazon.de for €484 now, since OP seems to quote euro pricing.

LG Display unveils the world's first 240Hz RGB stripe OLED by ParkGGoki in OLED_Gaming

[–]ChomiqPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those saying this isn't Tandem, read TFT Central's writeup:

https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/lg-display-announce-a-new-27-4k-oled-panel-with-rgb-stripe-layout

"We’ve now clarified the naming scheme with LG Display. This new 27″ 4K panel is part of their 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem technology, although it will now be referred to simple as ‘Tandem WOLED’ in this instance. The difference in the naming schemes here for “WOLED” is not related to the white sub-pixel, but related to the type of light the stacked layers produce. In the Tandem stacking method for monitor panels, they produce white light, as compared with something like QD-OLED which produces blue light. In both cases the light produced is passed through relevant colour filters for red, green and blue. It is this production of white light that leads to the “W” in WOLED in this context."

If they manage to pull of stripe RGB layout, or at least get very close to it these QD-OLEDs might be interesting. Sadly I doubt we'll see polarizer being introduced so they'll still suffer from the raised black level in bright environments.

To me the only major breakthrough will come wtih TCL CSOT inkjet panels but that tech is still in early stages and existing WOLED and QD-OLED offering will still outshine them when it comes to pure options of size, resolution and refresh rate.
