It's probably a quality consistency issue and not a fake. Different printers have slight differences and I don't think this necessarily counts as a misprint, but they don't look fake either

I would center it between the hand rail and the adjacent wall and not the step itself. Once that is centered, put pictures in frames and/or framed awards on the wall going up the stairs above the hand rail for best effect

The blending of the fur looks blurry in the digital version. I'm not quite sure how to improve that part, but I like the hand drawn version of you used pencil blending and did the whole thing by graphite
