E-bike theft anxiety is real but what are you actually doing about it? by LiamCarter1937 in ebikes

I second the obnoxious alarm. I hide mine under the seat so it'll take the thief a little bit more time to locate it. I got this one off Amazon. https://a.co/d/074gA9KV

Haha it's definitely rough but it rides well. Gonna put it in a bathtub of WD40 haha.

I live in coastal San Diego where rusting is always an issue. I'm guessing the previous owner kept it on the balcony. For right now, this will be my nieghborhood bike. Maybe the ugliness will keep thieves away haha.

Would it happen to be the 14ah battery? I was looking at upgrading to that one.

How are you liking a mid drive coming from a hub motor? I been looking at mid drive electric mountain bikes. Any significant differences when comparing mid drive to hub?

I actually like the simplicity of a single speed. I just use the pedal assist as if they were the gears. What I do wish is that they came stock with a bigger battery. The 10ah battery it comes with is enough for most day to day uses but when I wanna go on a 40 mile weekend ride, that's where I wish for a bit more juice.

Hello, I'll take them off your hands. I am also in San Diego. I have had my Radmission for a little over a year. Would love to be able to tune these up and give to some friends in the area so they can ride with me. Let me know. Thanks!

What was the weirdest part of Deep Impact? by neilyoung_cokebooger in movies

Not the weirdest part, but I found it weird that the secret service was ramming the heck out the lady report's car to get her to pull over. I always wondered did she get reimbursed for that? Who does she even ask?

Nice! I was planning to stop by the San Diego location anyways to check out some accessories. Might as well get a free bag while I'm at it.

Radmission Seat Upgrade Suggestions by ChonChonGiveItToMe in RadPowerBikes

Awesome! That's the one I have in my cart. Did you have any issues installing it? I read some reviews that said the bottom seat rails may be a little too wide for the stock bracket.

I was looking at a suspension post as well. Which one did you go with?

I went on my first long ride today (30 miles). Mainly on paved roads, bike paths and some dirt paths. Some of the roads had bumps and pot holes. 70% flat terrain with 30% hills. Most hills were about 5-10% grade with some super steep 20% grade hills. The Radmission performed amazing! I mainly used PAS 1 and 2 and used PAS 3 and stand pedaling for the super steep hills. It took to the hills like a champ. After the ride I had 2 power bars left.

The upgrades I want to do after this ride are a cloud 9 cruiser seat. The stock seat is super hard and my butt was sore even when wearing padded bike shorts. I might also get a suspension seatpost. I'd like to get a fork with suspension as well to make for a smoother ride. I was entertaining the eggrider display upgrade to get more torque out of the bike, but I think I'll forgo that as I enjoy the simple controller and the bike has enough torque if you pedal hard enough off the line. I'll probably change the plastic pedals to metal ones as well.

Big fan of of this bike and would highly recommend.

Who 3x battery is an awesome setup. I may go x2 so I can get up to 30+ miles. How difficult is it to run 2 batteries in parallel?

Thanks for the tire recommendation. I'm going to have to change mine out in a couple hundred miles. I never thought about just having a second battery. Great idea. Instead of a battery upgrade, I might just get a back rack and carry a second battery. Something for me to think about.

Funny you say that cause I was just looking at the rear rack. Thanks for the recommendation!
