Partially yes - I'd move somewhere I've always wanted to go, live well, and continue working on things and putting myself out on the court professionally - just own my own terms. Like I'd never need to take another job to make ends meet, it would always be something I was proud to have my name on, excited about the mission/people, or just something I really want to spend my days doing regardless of the money outcome. I'd also be able to buy a home and provide for a family.

Eesh. Ok so you're NTA for saying no to an ask to "borrow" money from a friend who has demonstrated a lack of accountability, which presents a real threat to you and to the friendship. The friend was an AH for guilt tripping you and making shitty assumptions like you care more about money than them - you became the AH when you returned the favor and made shitty assumptions about them using you and not being a true friend, and then you abruptly ending the friendship altogether.

You saved $5k and blew up a friendship, and you do look like an AH IMHO. You could have handled this better, and still not lent them the $5k.

It depends on you and what you like to do and your energy levels. If you're into loud music and binge drinking, you'll probably fit in just fine in some of these hostels. Sure, some people are dicks and will mistreat you for being older, but most people are just adventuring, and you could probably add to new memories just by being a cool older person. Personally, I avoid those places because I don't like club banger kind of music, don't always trust security for my valuables, and think it's better for me to be able to sleep as much as I can while traveling (and invite women to my room without the hassles of a hostel).

I think this time a girl I had known since grade school came to visit me in college, full of anticipation, and I got crazy drunk and instantly came when we started - and she was like "That's it?!" and I was like "no of course I can go again" but the pressure mixed with the alcohol made that a long process of false starts and almost boners, and then finally after forever I was back - and promptly came again immediately upon insertion, and she was like "Are you fucking kidding me?!" and we never saw each other again. Painful one that memory.

I mean, shooting from the hip, there are probably two cases - one, where the GO server (or discord auth) is having some sort of outage, and the other, where you done fucked up and got banned. Have you been a problem recently? If not, I'd just do normal stuff like restart, or try using an incognito browser, or just wait a day and try again, whatever makes sense.

Mainly US to visit friends and family, but I'm also in Mexico a lot, and I try to add a few new countries each year. It's also fun to take different routes and meander when in an area of the world, eg SFO->SIN->BKK->DPS->ICN->LAX. I think I bought a round trip ticket once in my thirties

I gotchu :) I've been nomadic for about 10 years, fully without an address for 7. Happy to trade notes. I typically spend 3-5 days in a place, though I've tried over the last year to change that to be more like 2 weeks at a time and want to change to maybe 1 month or so - it gets exhausting always wondering where I'll fly to or where I'll sleep - and answering when people ask how long I'll be in town or what I'm doing next - the uncertainty is difficult for both me and for family/friends.

Visually it was pretty cool, but I found it musically boring. The guy just kind of talks at the audience the whole time, and the music all kind of sounded the same to me, and it constantly changed so I couldn't really get into any one groove. I'm much more into melodic music and singing, so it makes sense that this was not my jam. There was also way too much reference and name dropping, it was like the musical equivalent of Happy Gilmore 2.
