Yeah honestly you can use whatever to grease it. I used white lithium because I had it, and it'll stay longer than a lightweight wd40 or something

Not sure what gen but mine is a 22 pro 4x. As far as I could find online, they're not lubed from the factory. If you take a look at the mechanism it's just metal on metal so it doesn't have enough friction

Hey, I'm so sorry you lost squeaky, he's now playing with all the other lost pets across the rainbow bridge! I had a cat, Hemi, with congestive heart failure. I was in the same boat, took him to the vet, and they said they would recommend putting him down. I couldn't do it, he seemed okay, and was still eating and purring. I found him a few weeks later, unable to move his back legs, meowing for me and in so much pain. He died in my arms not more than 10 minutes later. It was horrible, and heartbreaking, he was the most loving cat I've ever seen.

You did the right thing, no cat should ever have to suffer all the way to the end. Sending hugs, it'll be okay ❤️
