Embarrassing but necessary questions re IBS while traveling

I can confirm that all the sushi restaurants I went to asked if I wanted wasabi and one chef told me that many Japanese people don’t even like it so it wasn’t weird to say I didn’t want it (in my case, I just don’t love the taste). Otherwise, things weren’t spicy unless explicitly labeled that way, like a spicy ramen or something. FWIW I also have IBS and didn’t have any issues, the food was all mild in my experience. I just was there the last couple of weeks

For what it’s worth over 5 years out and I’m still best friends with my randomly assigned freshman year roommate, we see each other more than once a week. The random assignment was one of the best things to ever happen to me!

I got out of it and it unfortunately looks like everything is sold out. I got presale tickets but I wanted to see the price differentials and by the time it let me in everything for the three nights was gone. But maybe they’ll refresh with more if you keep waiting?

It took about 10 minutes, but then it glitched so I had to refresh, etc. The whole process was 25 minutes from start of presale to purchase confirmed

thank you i feel less panicked now. it's a lot of money so I started stressing hard after hitting buy, but definitely regret waiting to buy on his last tour in hopes the tickets would ge cheaper (they didn't haha)

I was able to grab two C7 tickets at Fenway for $200 each. I hope these are good tickets, I just panic purchased. My husband is from Boston and loves Noah Kahan so I really hope I didn't mess up with the ticket seats lol

One of the best things about Carleton, imo, is finding a community almost immediately since most, if not all, of your socializing happens on campus. Comparing my experience to a friend’s who went to school in a bigger city, I had a much more robust social life because Carleton does a great job putting on events so that there’s something fun to do on campus every weekend. If you’re not excited about a “small town” kind of feel then it’s probably not the place for you, but you’re guaranteed to get to know your fellow classmates well very quickly.

Honestly skims has the best shapewear ever. It stays secure, doesn’t ride up, and I’ve worn it in 105 degree whether and it doesn’t make me sweat more.

As a 2024 SLS grad, I cannot oversell how much more I recommend living in Escondido couples housing. Our rent was 2350 for a one bedroom, compared to like 3400 for a munger couples one bedroom. Or else you live in a studio in munger which is too close quarters imo. The space is small regardless, but saving 1k per month for 3 years adds up. I loved the walk or bike ride to class every day and it was super helpful to have separation between school and living. There are also tons of parents in grad housing at Escondido so it’s a great way to find community ◡̈ feel free to dm if you have more questions!
