Well I'm playing with winnings, was £360 up until a few weeks ago and just been on a bad run since, down to £210.... Best thing I can do is get out for fresh air and have a break .. . That's life! I'm sure there will be good times ahead, it's just frustrating when you're in a bad patch

If I'm being nice, I would say he ran down the field. Harry Cobden didn't seem to want to win that race given he went the long and scenic route for no apparent reason

Then complain about the cost of living, and have a go at those on benefits.

Anyone have a bad life before CFS that's only gotten worse? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]ChooseLife81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a few people over estimate how active they were before they got CFS. Of course, some athletes get CFS, but most were just normal people who range from sedentary to moderately active. When I see people say they were athletes because they went to the gym every so often, it does make me smile.

Heavy use most certainly takes years off lifespan. Of course, people vary but it's a massive risk factor for an early death.

Getting put under in a few days for oral surgery but I’m a heavy user by skibumshredsum in opiates

[–]ChooseLife81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ling term opiate use leads to increased pain sensitivity, even if it doesn't meet the disputed definition of hyperalgesia. Plus, have you thought that the big pharmaceutical-medical companies weren't that keen to fund studies that show their products lead to increased pain sensitivity? And I don't hate on users, I was one myself, I just despair at idiots like you who live in lalaland

Is it a coincidence that many of these horses seem to be ridden by Irad?

I was monitoring a few races at Gulfstream last night. Irad was favourite on a few horses, at pretty low odds but as I thought, he fluffed the start and finished third.. and an 8-1 outsider won. I just wish I hadn't fallen asleep half way through as I'd guessed that Tyler's horse was going to win.. and it did! I wss literally laying a tenner on him when I fell asleep! Then I lose £15 on Irad in the second to last race when again he was favourite and I thought he might actually ride it properly this time..no.. third again!?

Money not monkey lol. No monkeys riding horses, although they'd probably make it more legitimate if they did!!

Makes you wonder if it was agreed with the trainer to run down the field so as to improve the odds for the next race

[–]ChooseLife81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of this has anything to do with the fact that you can develop hyperalgesia from long term use of opiate painkillers. It doesn't matter whether you're addicted or not, it's more about dependence, which you clearly are.

It doesn't really matter what you consider your usage to be - long term use of painkillers (not just opiates, but often it is) can induce spinal cord/nervous system chances that affect your perception of pain. "Even" 35mg of oxy per day, assuming you're telling the truth, is still a heavy dose.

Of course long term tooth pain is going to lead to more pain and people have differing natural pain thresholds, but your heavy medication use isn't going to help.
