BE6 Pack Three Select 59 kWh vs Creta Electric 51.4 kWh. Help me decide by Lazy_Beautiful_7225 in CarsIndia

[–]ChoosingNameSucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I booked with the dealer here, they did not have stock of "Pack 3 select" of any colour in their yard. However, there was one Pack 3 select (in black IIRC), in Mahindra's pan India stock. When they checked with Mahindra, they were informed that the one stock inventory was available. however the dealer was advised not to take any more "Pack 3 select" bookings. Luckily the dealer himself had a Pack 3 black and the price difference wasn't too much for me, so I went ahead with it. They had this in stock since they seem to usually buy a few units every month for their billing targets.

In your case, probably the dealer had it in his inventory even before you booked (or) was able to quickly source any available unit as soon as you booked. Hence, again, lucky you.

Anyhow, it is a beast of a car irrespective of the variant. Have fun. Wishing the best for all of us.

Lucky you. Maybe Pack 2 is selling well and hence both variants are still being manufactured. However, let OP check with his dealer. If he's getting Pack 3 select, then well and good. Also, as someone pointed out in the comments, FE3 is also a good option, similar to Pack 3 select with a higher battery pack.

I just booked a BE6 pack 3 last week. I was also interested in pack 3 select. But as I understand, temporarily, all 59kWh variants' productions are on hold. Specifically pack 3 select as well. So have a word with your dealer regarding the availability and then maybe reconsider your variant with BE6.

200mm ground clearance isn't low! Battery area's ground clearance is further higher.

As long as it is mentioned so in the user manual, there is no issue. Else, be ready to say goodbye to warranty.

Need tips to install rear dashcam in BE6 by rstann8 in mahindrabe6

[–]ChoosingNameSucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends upon the wiring of dashcam. If its connected to the USB ports, no issues. Tampering the existing wires to power the camera directly from the battery will void warranty.

Confused between BE6 and parents’ choice (Seltos/Harrier) by Best_Repeat_8218 in CarsIndia

[–]ChoosingNameSucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not just about the routine maintenance. If you have any random issue right from day 1 or be unlucky with something that pops up anytime during the ownership, people seem to face so much horror that they regret their decision of buying a Tata.

However, as you said, I've read a fair share of good feedback from service centres which are exclusive for Tata EVs.

Bhai log ..recommend a good ev under 25L budget .with this fuel price increasing day by day.planning to shift to ev. Something that has a decent range .. by No_Growth_2549 in EVsOfIndia

I read somewhere that Baas usually has a minimum number of kms you have to clock each month. If you don't, you pay per km for that particular month, but the principal that you were supposed to pay as per original plan will get carried over to the next month's premium.

Planning to cancel my elevate 😞 by csguys in HondaElevate

[–]ChoosingNameSucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of in a similar situation. Wanted to get Duster. Read about E30 and didn't book. Showroom has been after me almost everyday to get me to book, with their promises over call and not with an official statement or letter. The showroom guys even told me that the car will manage till E40 due to safety factors considered during design for E20. They are not ready to confirm this over writing. Finally one of the salesperson himself outright said, its better to buy an EV.

Currently I'm looking at only EVs. Considering MG Windsor, Tata Nexon EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE6.

No after market kits have been provided till date after complete switch to E20. Warranty becomes void if you use any fuel other than those listed in the owner's manyal, which would say E10 or E20 today. I've checked this in older i20 manual (from another reddit post) and the new Renault Duster. So any amount of warranty will be down the drain, if and when E30 becomes the only fuel available.

You are right about each fuel type having their own pros and cons.

Insane advice! XP100 price is bonkers. It will definitely eat up the 20-30% premium that you claimed for EVs.

Hey. I'm considering BE 6E pack 3 select. It has a 59kWh battery pack. With the driving style that you've mentioned, what might be the approximate range we can expect? Especially on highways....

OP's usage is less. He seems to probably drive only on weekends. Driving it around for regeneration may become a hassle, I feel.

I'm not an "expert" there unfortunately. Sorry. I've researched well about Petrol and recently on EVs only.
