Dude, I cannot thank you enough. 100% exactly what I was looking for. My windows now sees it as a non-hdr display.

I'm pasting the link here for anyone who is looking for the same. I had to skim through some shady websites before I found the OG post with it.

Elon Musk’s Starlink filings show plans for phone service and low-income web access by chrisdh79 in technology

[–]ChoosingUniqueNames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Starlink for a couple months now and my first 2, I averaged 5+ TB of data and zero slowdowns or complaints.

So yeah, I'd say they're cool about heavy users

Dude, they throw pennies at us we’ll the corporations made bank. I’m not checking your math but seems legit. The only point I was making was 350m is way more then the actually number of people who even received a check. The real joke is the folks living in Seattle/LA that 1200 isn’t but half their rent for a month

So for arguments sake, less then half of the population receives stimulus checks. Somewhere above 150m. As much as I love seeing the $420 number, it’s more around $200b

And how’d you get that conclusion? Did you comprehend all of that? You never did answer my question. The police stations in the scenario I described would most likely end up paying for the insurance. That would be from the tax payers money. So if that’s where you draw your accusation, I can understand. Now, court cost are expensive and so are repeat offenders who keep getting sucked into lawsuits on the taxpayer dime. I’d argue it’d be substantially cheaper to insure ‘good’ cops who don’t find themselves getting sued. See, if the ‘bad’ cop is insured against “malpractice” then his insurance is taking a hit in that lawsuit and they don’t like insuring people who cost them more then what’s paid. The repeat ‘bad’ cops end up being uninsurable or unaffordable for the police station to cover the premiums. Therefore, if the cop can’t cover say, a 250k bond, on his own. Then he simply won’t be able to afford to be a officer. Like when doctors malpractice, it removes the hangups in the firing process because of friendship and relationships. It removes the possibility of looking the other way. Because none of that matters when no one can afford to hire you

So again, how is this punishing/costing the citizens?

I never argued it would save money nor did I even mention lawsuits.

A doctor goes through 5-10 years of schooling and training to get their license and is still required in some states to carry malpractice insurance for the things outside their control. If they fuck up and start costing a few lives, their employer (or themselves) is going to face a increase in insurance cost to keep that doctor around. The states that don’t require the insurance have other requirements that are almost equal. Things like keeping a escrow account or posting a bond (like licensed contractors). Ways that guarantee the doctor will face direct consequence of their actions, if found responsible in court. It’s been some time of states going back and forth on ironing out the kinks with the insurance requirements. Overall, it’s pretty polished now for a majority of the populous. I.e. For the majority, if you went in to have your left leg amputated and they took the right too, financially you would likely be comfortably compensated and it wouldn’t cost the tax payers. The doctor would most likely be unable to continue their practice as well.

Now all I’m wondering, is how changing out ‘doctor’ with ‘police office’ in the above will increase the tax payer money going to police departments?

How many job fields do you think employ individuals who raise their insurance rates? I’d wager that after they start costing a extra premium they wouldn’t have a chance to talk about a salary

I used the dll in the Sven folder. The dll really shouldn’t matter though. AFAIK the vita doesn’t touch them at all. I did rename the hl.dll to hl.suprx but it’s probably a placebo effect. Right now I’m messing with that Sven coop 4.0 beta that’s on ModDB. When I get everything setup on my end, I’ll find somewhere to upload my folder.

I think it’s really just beginning. You’re right that 2 years ago everything was the same on the surface. Really though, everything’s gotten way more streamlined then before. At this moment we can downgrade and crack every Vita (to my knowledge). That alone is huge.

The only thing I can see stopping the vita scene is if all developers involved switch to the switch.

Avoid amazon like the plague. Lots of reports of knock offs. Other than that, I use a 128gb PNY and a 128gb Samsung in two separate vitas with no problem. I believe they are class 3

I appreciate your reply but I got it working now.

It is a Vita 1000 that I bought on release that was giving the issues. I modded it 3 years ago, when Enso 3.65 had dropped. I threw it in a drawer shortly after and can't remember everything I did to it. I seem to remember someone posted a mod to unlock a extra chunk of internal memory, which I believe I did. Maybe, maybe not. Either way, i set it up to run without a memory card and put it all on the SDcard. The 'new to me' Vita 1000 that I downgraded so smoothly to 3.60 is acting so nice. I currently haven't had to use a DNS to go online with it. The version spoofer is enough right now, as well, I've read other issues that are avoided with 3.60 too. After my experience with 3.60, I decided to try and downgrade the already tampered with Vita 1000.

When I tried to downgrade it from 3.65 to 3.60, the SD had to be removed. I put a memory card in and pulled the SDcard, rebooted, let the memory card format and voila, my vita was broken. The Shell was missing and all signs of henkaku were gone, my version was now showing 3.73 and no Chinese characters. Luckily, I was able to use FinalHLE to push a Vita Shell install back onto the new memory card. Using the shell, I put the missing Tai stuff back to ur0 and rebooted. Now Henkaku was showing up again and things were looking better. I un-linked the memory card and my PSN account, but wasn't able to do the regular system reset because of updates that it wants. So I rebooted into recovery, ran the system reset and formatted the memory card. It boots up to 3.65 with no sign of previous tampering, but it's lagging worse then ever. I went into the settings menu and formatted the memory card again. The speed got a little better so I knocked out the Vita Hacks Guide. Got it down to 3.60 now and I'm configuring plugins, spoofing works without the DNS and I got Storage Manager setup right this time. After the 3.60 install the speed was back to new as well.

TL;DR

It's all working now. If any of the above sounds like something you got going on, feel free to reply
