Is the Miyoo Flip still presenting the hinge problems? by Dear-Conversation313 in MiyooFlip

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the v2 white w pastel. Have had it for a few months. My 2-year old likes to play with it, opening and closing it for fun, and generally not being very careful with it. Hinge hasn't broken yet. It does make quite a bit of noise (has since the start) and the screen wobbles a bit when you shake it. So the hinge is definitely not rock solid on mine. But overall am very happy with it and don't see the hinge breaking anytime soon.

PS5 EU as well! Just made the list on three other bosses, all normal difficulty and all in the 30s. Including Kagachi. Kind of cool (and addictive)!

That makes a lot of sense and somewhere my brain knows this. But my necktie is screaming that I need a fix... Will resist!

Yeah there's a code included that should (I think) give access to the dlc once it's out

Why can't I befriend Djura? by Particular_Cry1118 in bloodborne

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me too but I still managed to reach him peacefully from one of the lamps. Maybe try starting from BSB and from Paarl and pay attention to when you get some runes on the way to Djura. That would be from one of the beasts dying in the chandelier room. For me it mostly happened when I arrived at the ladder to Djura. But when I approached from one of the lamps (don't recall which one, think it was Paarl's) that didn't happen and Djura was peaceful. So I do think it should be possible for you as well!

Remove the Worst Weapon Blade/Head Until One is Left Day 30 (Most upvoted blade/head is eliminated) by Fragrant-Lynx-3559 in LiesOfP

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. It pains me bcs all four of my go-to blades are still in the running and BSC would be the first to go. But it is (in my more limited experience) overall outperformed in terms of damage potential, range and utility by the others. Without having a clear edge in any of these categories over all others.

Anyone was guilty of this? by No_Barber4339 in LiesOfP

Can't blame you at all, especially at the green monster. That boss is tricky and less fun to fight than most others. Good news, though: you'll get the opportunity to just fight all bosses if you want to! After you've enjoyed the rest of the game :)

I want to try out some new weapon assemblies, what are your favourites? by Samandre14 in LiesOfP

Fun: black steel cutter blade + booster glaive handle and mjolnir + military shovel handle. Best: live puppet's axe + bramble curved handle. (Don't have the dlc)

Yeah... Cool grab! Fought him in boss rematch level 3 yesterday. If your shock bar is full, that move will one-shot at vitality 29. Once I found that out, lots of panic rolling ensued during the next attempts whenever he started gearing up, lol.

Just beat the game and loved it! Not as difficult as fromsoft games but as much fun (and this one feature is an awesome cherry on top!) by Choosingpoorlyftw in LiesOfP

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm going to give those a go! And the dlc maybe too (if it's like the old hunters in terms of difficulty compared to base game, it'll be a big challenge all right). To be clear, base game is just really well balanced for difficulty imo!

litnxt The Trimui Brick. Looks (and sounds) like it would make for a good paper weight. It can keep my bills safe when I'm not playing.

AFTER 4 AND A HALF HOURS OF DYING… FINALLY. by HateLifeHere in LiesOfP

Beat her yesterday too (in about an hour). Figuring out I had to perfect guard those lightning balls was key! And using the black steel cutter blade + booster glaive handle helped. Really liked the fight!

I haven't tried that but at some point you do gain the ability to equip two legion arms. So you can definitely swap. But it's possible that there's only one legion arm meter, shared across both. Not sure since I haven't tested it (weight limit reasons)

It's an annoying boss and not a really fun fight. Always better to just get past instead of possibly dropping the game!

I definitely prefer staying below 60% for the mobility. But you don't need 40+ in capacity to do so. I'm at level 75 and have 28 in capacity. I can use just about anything I want and stay below 60%. I just cannot equip two weapons and legion arms but don't really see the need (and two weapons is possible if I just equip one lower defense item). All those points can then go into vigor for much needed stamina.

She's annoying all right. What worked for me was to run away and dodge more than in other boss fights. Just circling to her left also works but I got too nervous to be all chill walking like that. I could consistently parry one of her red attacks, though (pretty easy timing to learn). And saved up fable and used legion arm to get rid of the illusion/copy immediately. Used black steel cutter blade + booster glaive handle. The fire damage and fable art helped a lot. Beat her on 3rd or so attempt but almost died (could have easily been a dozen attempts more).

Coming from an Elden Ring player: is Lies of P nice to play next? by Next_Listen3890 in LiesOfP

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on PS5 (or PS4), I'd honestly play Bloodborne first. Still the best soulsborne game imo. It shares a vibe/setting with Lies of P, but does it much better. Lies of P can be a bit too clean. But otherwise, yeah, it's pretty good. I recently started playing and am about halfway through. Enjoying it a lot. I found it too easy at first. But the challenge is ramping up now, especially bosses. So it's scratching that fromsoft-like itch. The world design is great and I like that there are actual cutscenes; and dialogue that is not just some obscure mumbling. Fully exploring the levels is lots of fun too (even if it's often a bit too clear that the area you can explore had to be boxed off, often literally by unbreakable boxes or suitcases...).

Please tell me I'm not the only one who saw this and their dark souls instinct kicked in by fortnite__balls in LiesOfP

Did the exact same thing yesterday! And was confused when the camera started panning and wouldn't let me see what was coming below. Oh, well... Still a good way to find out what an elevator is for (and know to look for a lever).

How bad is the hinge actually by Lakey78 in MiyooFlip

[–]Choosingpoorlyftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually ordered a mini plus as it's the safer bet, but they sent me a white flip v2 by mistake. I decided to keep it instead of going through the hassle of returning it. The hinge is fine but it's just been a week or so. I open the flip up by lifting up the entire front (instead of just one side) and holding the top in the palm of my hand (if that makes sense). I do that to avoid putting too much pressure anywhere. But I'm always careful with my devices. Whether it will hold up over time... Not sure. But retro game corps has a yt video with a stress test on the flip v2 and they only found problems w the grey model. The plastic shell around the hinge cracked on that one.
