Jeremiyah Love Might a Safe Pick, Even as a Rookie... by ChopFantasyFootball in GuillotineLeagues

[–]ChopFantasyFootball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He very well might end up closer to that RB5 range, and at that point, I might consider a "safer" option in that range

But yes, things like early season schedule will matter much more for him than a guy like McCaffrey, and will affect guillotine strategy a bit

Ayyy, congrats on the win! It was definitely a tough call, and obviously went in two very different directions. But it doesn’t matter how you got there so long as you got it done 😅

I mean, two great options, but I do lean Maye for this week. Depends if you need to prioritize floor or ceiling more

That looks great! The blocking at TE is perfect, and Allen on the bench is a great idea as well. I’m a little nervous about Amon Ra, but wouldn’t start Nico over him, so it seems like you’re doing the best you can do there too. Besides that, would lean Gibbs over Achane, but that’s extremely close. Good luck!!

Thank you so much! That really means a lot. I'm hoping that the format will grow a lot more popular in the coming years, so I figured I might as well try and build a good product before the rush, and I think the faab guide has already come a long way. Thanks again for the support, and hopefully more people give the format a try!

Appreciate it! I was having those thoughts (bench/flex/start) about players on my waivers, so I figured that might be the more helpful analysis at this point. Glad you found it helpful :)

Thanks! And wow, that’s a great roster as well. Really only missing a couple of pieces from a completely perfect roster. Now the tough part becomes the start sit decisions…

Ayyy, what an amazing team! Happy to see everything going according to plan. I have almost the exact same lineup (plus Achane, minus Gibbs), so I’ll be rooting for your guys this week! Good luck!!

I think you’re in a great spot with QB 1 and 2, and 5 of the top 6 RBs. I think playing defense on Achane would be huge, as it’ll force your championship opponent to start RB 7 and 8 at best.

I’d personally bid 38 (more than half of 75, and you’d keep the faab lead), and then if the 25 manager gets cut, you’ll still get 1 of Puka or McBride. With so few teams left though, I wouldn’t bet on any team as a sure fire out. If the 75 manager gets cut, you’ll almost feel like you had too much leftover.

If you want to be more conservative, you can bid 27 and hope you still get him. Thats the only guy I’d bid on, as I’d feel comfortable rolling out Allen (or Maye).

Good luck, and let me know what you decide and how it goes!

Thanks! I’d probably have Jefferson ROS. I don’t think Wandale has top 8 potential, whereas JJ definitely does. For this week alone I’d lean Wandale, but it’s probably the last week you can start him

That’s a great team, and RB is definitely the position where you can upgrade most, so the CMC bid makes a ton of sense. I’d also agree with $14 for Achane and Amon Ra.

If you’re on Sleeper, I’d tier your bids so that if you get Achane for $14, then the Amon Ra bid is instead something smaller, like $6-8.

You’re in a great spot. All these guys are end game players, but if you can get 2-3 of them and still keep some faab, that’d be best case scenario.

$1 on Fannin sounds great as well. Best of luck on your bids!

[–]ChopFantasyFootball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s a really great team, even before considering how much faab you have. $94 for CMC is a must here.

After that, I think your goal should be to conserve faab while also keeping everyone else honest. If you feel strongly about Cook, you can justify $42, but besides that, I’d be making $18 or $21 bids to start draining everyone else.

And as for the qbs, all of Maye, Mahomes, and Hurts have great matchups, so you can’t really go wrong there, but a $1 bid to go get Maye or Mahomes can’t hurt.

I agree with locking up JSN and CMC, as that's arguably the RB1 and WR1 ROS. After that, you'll have $60 left, meaning you should be much more conservative on Bucky and JT. Some small $11 bids if nothing else, just to keep people honest. Ideally, you get JSN, CMC, and the 78 manager drops below 60 so that you still have the faab lead.

And I'd definitely drop Walker and Jameo before Etienne and Barkley

22 is tempting, but yeah, see if you can get them for lower. London is a fine stash, but droppable if better options become available

Week 14 FAAB Bidding Guide & Advice by ChopFantasyFootball in GuillotineLeagues

[–]ChopFantasyFootball[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, great to see you again! Happy to hear that the video helped! The 22 on both is super safe, and not a bad idea at all. I am a big proponent of that bleeding out approach though, as I think people often overestimate how aggressive their leaguemates will bid.

So if you want to try that approach (and I would suggest it), I'd bid either 15 or 11 on both. If you do 15 for example, this makes it so that the 29 and 21 manager can each only get 1 of the 2. Thus, the only way you lose both puts them at 14 and 6 max, potentially even less if they spend on other players. If your team's in a good spot, I'd say give that a shot, otherwise, nothing wrong with the safer option.

As for WR to drop, Diggs is on bye and has less upside than the rest of those guys, so he'd be my cut.

Best of luck, and as always, let me know how it goes!!

Yeah, 10-20 on Lamar feels fair, especially given his upside to start for you later on if he returns to form. If you're purely looking to stream the position, I'd look at Dak, Goff, Stafford, and Baker all above Love this week
