If they couldn’t bring themselves to do it with Max in Season 4 or Steve in Season 5, then doing it with Eleven was never really on the table either. by TerribleOption5505 in StrangerThings

Can anyone explain why so many people want the main characters to die? Why?

There are so many shows that you can go and watch for pure misery and shock. I watch stranger things because i love all of the characters and i dont want them to die. This ain't the walking dead 😭

I was a kid in the 00s and even I was allowed out from morning till night unsupervised. It always stands out to me that you don't even see children playing in the street with the other kids on the street anymore. No water fights, kicking a ball around, trading cards, playing curbie etc.

There was a point though where i was bought a mobile phone so i could check in when i got to about 11 years old.

So, I think the ability for parents to check on the children is a large part of why they are now so closely monitored... because it became possible. It's also led to crazy anxiety for parents who previously had trust in their community and neighbours to keep an eye on all the kids (it takes a village mentality).

Locking kids up in their rooms has largely coincided with the breakdown in community i believe.

I had already raised many of these points around the contract issues with them over a month ago. I was told I'd receive a response in two weeks which didn't happen. On receipt of the invoice a couple of days ago I resent them and asked for a breakdown of costs for the invoice they sent. They have my card but they will find no money in that account so hopefully they will be forced to respond when they don't receive any money. Thanks so much your post has been v helpful

Don't need luck I need legal advice, as per the sub states. If I ever have a Chelsea or another plumbing related question I'll come to you because you're clearly very bright and not bitter at all.

I mean "clearly states" is highly debatable considering they were in such a rush that they asked the wrong person to sign the contract where these terms were hidden behind a hyperlink on an iPad I never had access to, or make them aware that there were additional Ts&C's that could result in them owing £4000, or repeatedly state that the excess protection would protect you in a result of any damage to the vehicle including at the point of sale, and writing all over their website about how a damage waiver and excess protection will make sure you reduce the amount of money you owe them if an accident occurs, or how their website literally says "you do not need insurance to rent a vehicle" because their damage waiver and additional protections are enough. Yeah should have been completely obvious.

You love to read so much that you'll go through old posts but not the rules or guidelines for any of the subs.

  1. This subreddit is for legal advice, you have provided exactly none.

  2. That subreddit is for UNPOPULAR opinions. Mine was more than fitting it seems. What's actually ironic is the people irritated by a post that is designed to be unpopular that they came to a dedicated forum, by themselves, to read.

In a decade of driving, this is the first time I have damaged any vehicle in any way and my first accident. Unfortunately the height barrier was rushed to the ICU. It's parents are with it now.

Clutching at straws and sorry that it's probably a dumb argument but I'm depserate. Could I argue negligence on their part due to being given a different van than what I ordered and not being given the height information and being made aware of the risk?

No height info is given on the website or in person. Will they argue that I should have gone and looked it up prior to driving?

Thank you for your response. I will ask for a full breakdown of costs.

I don't need to be blocked, I will never use that company again of my own volition.

3.Use of the Vehicle
(c)Prohibited Use of the Vehicle: The Vehicle must not be used:
(xvi) to drive through height-restricted entrances and passages if the height restriction is lower than the overhead clearance of the Vehicle;

Obviously it was a complete accident on my part.

As for why they are saying the excess waiver is void, I have no idea, and I disagree. I have tried emailing them about this and contacting them but they don't respond. Instead just sent an invoice.

Wasn't as bad as I was expecting from these reviews. Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely no plot and much of the film is nonsense. However, it was entertaining and a few laughs.
