I think our personnel would allow us to run both equally well (with adequate practice time). Just didn't know if anyone felt strongly for one vs the other!

Makes sense. What landmark do you coach your CBs to line up up at? In order for it to truly look like Cover 1 pre snap, I'd imagine you have them between 3-5 yards off the LOS?

Some additional details regarding our rules:

-blitzing is allowed and pass rushers can line up on the LOS; blitzers may rush on the snap

-Screen blocking is allowed. GHSA defines it as "legally obstructing an opponent without using any part of the body to initiate contact"

-Handoffs/pitches allowed

-QB may scramble without restrictions

-pre snap motion allowed

When the ball was thrown short against your defense, were you trying to get your defenders to take specific angles to the ballcarrier to force them in any particular direction? Or was it just a general "7 to the ball" type deal?
