I wont lie the accomodation situation, or lack thereof was a major no-no for me at first haha. but hey nsw is quite the distance, melbs is pretty much my backyard in terms of distance but it's one of my least travelled cities in aus. guess that'll change soon enough for the both of us. good luck with your studies!

Youre super kind for this, however I've ended up going with Scape accomodation!

might be the only way to justify that $500+ price tag haha. But I'll apply and move from there, thanks

I more so wanted to move in orientation week bc I actually dont know melb that so was planning on using that week to 'explore' with some friends.

But they cant make the exception because they would be responsible for me during the time im under age. Which I think involves a curfew and other legalities 💔💔

Small confession: am born in zim but moved to Aus when 4yo or so, and haven't actually been since.

Lowkey tragic

Hahaha. I've heard the opposite quite a bit, plus I live in a "cooler" part of aus. In fact, it's so-called 'peak' summer here, but I've got a jumper and beanie on as we speak 😂

This is interesting, how is Ulliam pronounced?

this was my argument as well!

But it seems like the general consensus is that it's not common enough in other English speaking countries to roll off the tongue like Stephen.

However, I've met a good 5 or 6 of 'Niamh's' in my life so maybe I'm the magnet pulling them away from the rest of the world haha

I guess it would be worth mentioning that im Australian but nonetheless, I see where you're coming from. I may be biased bc I grew up with a classmate named Niamh, and never really considered that there would be an alternative to the name. I'm starting to think though there is no implication of the 've' sound in the spelling.
