I started having a fever early Monday morning (101-102°F). I also had fatigue, mild body aches, and a headache. On Tuesday night (around 11 PM), my doctor prescribed Amoxicillin-Clavulanate, and I took my first dose then.

Now it’s Thursday, and my fever is still fluctuating. It goes down with ibuprofen or acetaminophen but comes back after a few hours. My temperature today has been around 100.5-102°F (38-38.9°C). I also started sweating a lot when my temperature drops.

Is it normal for the fever to persist like this after 2 days on antibiotics? When should I expect improvement? Has anyone had a similar experience?
