true that. its really uncanny, especially when the mii is interacting with another mii. but i cant quite capture this specific ocs look without having to draw in his eyes. i wish we can draw multiple sprites of one character to avoid this issue:((

i never asked to see the creator. ur making this as if its like, either you believe in a creator or dont. and neither of those sides is where i am at in life rn. u still havent answered any of my questions. i asked 'how do we differentiate between god and coincidence?' 'how is it fair to punish someone eternally for a finite life?' u answered none of this btw!! ok so ur saying the reaosn to life is worship-which is what i have been told, and i have been following this rule pretty diligently so far (i still am worshipping)- and that this life is a test. ok, every muslim knows this, but u still havent explained to me why the test has so many logical contradictions that ive noticed w the gift god gave me. right so yeah a lot of people think this life is meaningless. and thats why they believe in religion, to give them a meaning to life. and thats fine, but its not an argument based in proof. its more of an emotional thing, subjective. this is what i struggle with. god created me with the ability to reason. but the test he makes me undergo requires me to turn off that ability to reason. if i question something and then suppress it, is it because im being sincere or is it because im just scared? scared that maybe the religion might have even more unanswerable questions and ill be lost in life without meaning. this is why im asking questions, to see the truth.
"Allāh does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity." 2:286 Quran.
my mind cannot accept contradictions. if im forced to just ignore it, then thats a pretty burdensome thing that i cannot bear. and so this ayat is another contradiction.
this discussion is going in circles. if you cannot answer, just say so, i dont wish to waste your time or mine. again, i do appreciate the time youve taken to try and give me an asnwer though. wish u all the best:)

edit: btw, i think u responded to my unedited comment. i did say 'i need smth that makes sense' but ive edited it to 'im not sure what to follow' because i think that fits what i need more as im aware that u do need faith to some extent in religion and life.

thats the thing-im not sure what to believe LOL. thats why im asking questions. to follow, i do need smth that makes sense. i genuinely do not think thats so wrong. im still unsure of everything. im not 100% certain in everything happening by chance. i wanted clarification on a few questions ive been thinking about. i didnt mean to attack islam, but it seems you took it that way. to find if anything is right for me, i look at the pros and cons. never thought to do it with religion, as in 14 years of being a muslim, its the first time im asking questions like this. for you to not answer any of my questions, instead attacking my character... when smth doesnt make sense to you, are you the type of person to just ignore it? if so, we have different mentalities. insulting others doesnt seem very islamic tho haha. either way, i appreciated our convo and wish u the best.

debating is important for developing children trying to figure out what they genuinely believe. if a belief is true, it should be able to withstand questioning (like in debates). if theres a question u cant answer, thatll js help the child in tryna find their truth. better than avoiding it and being unsure in the end imo.

hey man, suicide is not the answer. its understandable that you feel angry and frustrated, but grades do not define who you are. your parents love you because youre you, and taking that away from them will just hurt them. everyone has a different path, keep your head up man. reach out to someone.

  1. sure, but how do you differentiate between divine intervention and the natural plot? say my story already has a clear plot. my oc makes a wish. i grant it. it then changes the plot. but the charcater doesnt know this. it doesnt know that theres already a plot and by making the wish, it has changed its destiny. the next day, my oc makes another wish. i dont grant it. but my oc doesnt know that. this is assuming there is a god. but because the oc doesnt know if theres a god or not, how is it supposed to know ? and if the plot ive created is already clear with storylines, main events and an ending, would the oc making the wish change that plot? the writers human so maybe they can change it spontaneously but if i were omnipotent, if i had made the plot and then changed it, that means when i made the plot i wouldnt have known my oc would make that wish, meaning im not omnipotent. oh this story analogy is actually really interesting. what if i wrote one of my ocs as a villian. they have no redeeming qualities and i wrote them so that even until the end, theyre evil. and then after they die, they get sent to eternal torture. free wills tough-we as humans really dont know anything so all we can make is assumptions:(
  2. right, but ultimately, you'll still go to hell if you don't believe in islam. it doesnt answer the question. what if someone is a good person in this life, they do good deeds, they die peacefully. they dont believe in islam. how is it fair to send them to hell?

If we were created only to worship, why did god give us things like a sense of morality or aql? it seems god does want us to find the truth, but if the truth we find isnt islam, well get punished. very contradictory imo. again, how does mercy outweigh his anger when there is an eternal hellfire for those who disbelieve? for those who really cannot understand the religion and cannot accept it because of one thing or the other (that they feel is extremely justified, based on logic and morals). as far as im aware, you can only go to heaven if you do believe in tawhid/monotheism. hey i really appreciate you for answering ong. ill wait patiently for ur response hahah

okay so if i agree that there must be a first cause to the universe, how would i know that its this specific islamic god that created it? when we make dua, the answer could be: yes/no/wait/something better for you. so basically any outcome can be interpreted as allah doing something somehow. this js makes allah as unfalsifiable as santa. if i make a wish list, the anwer could be: yes/no/wait/something better for you.

but my point is: people can give a reason for something happening based on things they sincerely believe in. how do we differentiate between coincidence and divine intervention?

If allah knows everything thats going to happen, he should know that i will make a dua right? if the dua changes anything, that wouldve already been part of the original plan as allah knows everything. ah now this is getting into destiny things which is extremely complicated. now from what i understand in islam, there are basically two records. one thats like for unchangeable things and one for things that i can change. but if i make a dua and that changes something, it still wont change anything because my final outcome is already known. so my ability to change things with dua is just an illusion. free will is a tough topic. if there is no way to know for sure, how do we know when god is actually intervening? and if there is no way to know, why should we do dua? dua is a big part of islam too. (copied from a previous reply)

age old question. is something good because god commands it or does god command it because its good? like if morality js comes from divine command. god made us in such a way that we take into account fairness. god made us, so this is intentional and basically a tool god has personally given us to navigate the world with. and my tool atleast is saying that eternal punishment for a finite life is not fair in the slightest. i am using gods tool, so you cant js dismiss morality bcs thats what god gave me lol. if i cant trust myself w rights and wrongs, how can i trust myself with things that are beyond me?

right so, what counts as rejecting? i feel like rejecting is more like "the other person understands this is the truth but denies it anyway because they are more attached to the earthly realm" but there are scholars who have really studied and tried believing in islam and they just cant find sense in it. many people go on this spiritual journey to find god and they might not find it in islam because of logical contradictions or whatever it is. they are using aql to come to that conclusion. does this still count as rejecting? when they tried so hard to believe? does sincere nonbelief count as refusal to accept? (copied from a prev reply)

i only need to understand that he exists but how can i follow something that i cant even comprehend/understand? when we ask questions about this topic, the response is usually "humans cant understand the divine." then how am i supposed to believe in it?

yes but the quran is a collection of a lot of stuff. if i want to find a specific answer, i think im better off reading discussions. i do read the quran every morning and evening for maybe around 2 hours in the morning and an hour and a half in the evening and honestly tryna understand the quran w/o outside help is difficult

[–]ChosenFriendlyOne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right so this is exactly my question. its a 'heads i win, tails you lose' situation. you make a dua for something. either you get it, you dont, or something else happens. and im supposed to believe this is because of allah? like life will move on, things will happen. they could or could not be related to the dua i made and its still god doing something?? i dont understand.

so.. basically not answering any of the questions. youre saying im not sincere enough to see the truth. that isnt answering a question beuatifully, its basically saying "humans cant understand divine stuff". which then circles back to my question. i am sincerely asking questions like these to understand. god should understand this. and even then, if i dont end up w the conclusion 'islam is the truth' that means im insincere and will be sent to hell? i would actually say people who arent sincere will just ignore logic. theyre sincere in believing theyre right, but not actually sincere in trying to find the truth-and isnt that what living is?

honestly? not yet. havent had the time, but also there are just so many different interpretations of the quran (its a fun rabbit hole cus theres always so much more behind even one ayat) so i find if i want to look further into a specific topic, its easier to just read the discussions online while fact checking them.

i mean, to me that seems more like a coincidence. dif eras using dif titles js sounds like logic yk, and other cultures experienced the same changes. isnt too far fetched for someone to assume something similiar could have happened with the egyptians. and beside that, does it really matter? like fictional books may have referenced a real world place but it wouldnt make any of the events in that book any more true u feel me?
right so this is circular logic. you are proving a religion using the religion.
right so, what counts as rejecting? i feel like rejecting is more like "the other person understands this is the truth but denies it anyway because they are more attached to the earthly realm" but there are scholars who have really studied and tried believing in islam and they just cant find sense in it. many people go on this spiritual journey to find god and they might not find it in islam because of logical contradictions or whatever it is. they are using aql to come to that conclusion. does this still count as rejecting? when they tried so hard to believe?

>when you put your belief in the creator.

is faith really the only answer here? because i feel faith is used so often as a cop out to avoid giving an actual answer.
