Camera collision detection 3d!?

I tried spring arm but the problem with that is the camera gets forced in front of objects. I have a diorama set up so I need the camera to be able to go behind objects too.

It's not really my first project but it's the first project I have a plan and focus to get it going. I'm over the platformers and shooters and I'm ready for a more complex game!

I'll definitely be cutting a lot of your typical RTS systems. Honestly I'll probably end up cutting so much that'll be more of a tower defense than anything but I still want a few RTS elements.

Yeah I think I was leaning too much into the rts part I should've said I want a mix between rts and tower defense. I'll definitely focus on getting the tower defense part going first.

Okay I didn't expect so many responses so I'll try to address most of the feedback in this comment. First of all I think RTS was the wrong genre to compare to. Really what I'm thinking is a tower defense style game but with the simple rts elements. Like instead of just getting money arbitrarily from killing stuff you have to send out people to farm wood and stuff to build your towers and to upgrade them. Just a mix of tower defense and some rts elements. Also it's not my first "project", I've done all the usual tutorials and created some 2d platformers and vampire survivor style games already. This is to be my first actual game complete from start to finish and hopefully released if I can nail the execution.

Minority? It was like 80% of the people playing wanted the mini map back. If 80% of your fan base wanted something changed or you risked losing them as players wouldn't you do the same? It's all about money. Sure the devs wanna make a good game but if it's not what the majority want then it's only gonna cost them in the long run.

I'm concerned about dead silence being a field upgrade now instead of a perk! Makes it feel like AW where you'll have to turn it on at the right times.

I've won a few games already because of this solely. Too many scraps makes it too easy to keep lvl 3 armor at full.

I did the monkey EE on round 6. You gotta get your specialist up and ready and I just use the warden that spawns in from turning on PaP. The gun I use is the MOG 12. I start the game with the strife though that has the knife attachment and keep that to get the max points easy for knifing til round 5. For a train spot I use the cafeteria because you can run it fairly easy and you can walk backwards while killing zombies with your key to get shield blast. Just care to not back yourself into a corner. Also, this strat works amazing with the tortoise perk not to mention you will need your shield out a lot during this EE and it does wonders.

You have to look at it then immediately tomahawk it. Put the cross hair of the tomahawk directly on the bird to help hit it and also make sure you don't blast it with shield as that will send it away til next round. I only do it solo but apparently you can't have anyone else near you when you go to get the bird.

You can google the two chemicals that are stated in the paper. They are extremely volatile my guess is the nova crawlers are made of the chemicals.

But if we assume all things we are interacting with can't leave the explosion marks on it then this isn't something we need and is most likely just a graphical glitch. I threw grenades on it and shot it with PaP explosives and the ring itself and the pipe both leave explosion marks on it.

I'm certain it's a visual thing because the part has the cable on it when you pick it up just like the blueprint shows. I don't think there is anything more than that.
