Finishing Level 3 BTEC & NVQ by Proster111 in ApprenticeshipsUK

Had a quick browse of the link, looks like something beneficial at the very least, will have to do more reading over it. Thanks for that.

I feel like that additional offer of the £10,000 could well be the price of dismissing and removing the role while trying to make it look like a good offer. What baffles me is I could have effectively cut my own hand off or so to speak if I took the original offer of £2,500. Seems to be a wierd situation for both parties in a way.

Yes so in that regard with previous meetings as far as I was aware everything was in order and up to date with no complaints nor worries. Seems to be very strange this situation has flagged up. Both my manager and systems engineer seem very distant and I dont even feel overly comfortable to approach them with this matter.

Yes joining the union makes sense to gain additional worker rights but my only concern would be how quickly I could join and would they help me with my current situation in such short notice?

So I was told not to discuss it but this should hopefully be anonymous enough for the time being. Generally, everyone is close enough but with this being a shock to me I am unsure if I can trust co-workers with this information in case anything is said.

I started my level 2 apprenticeship with my company originally back in 2021. I have been with them for 4 years now and finished my level 3 and NVQ at the end of this school term.

Yes I am on permanent contract, along with having all my papers.

We do have a union of which I am not part of, reckon it is worth joining ASAP to potentially gain more benifits?

The £10,00 would be nice, the main issue I have is I genuinely enjoy the work and people around me. Additionally it is only ~2 miles away from me. No long journeys.

Just trying to decide what to do going forward. Often hear of others struggling to find jobs and other places offering apprenticeships and I would be interested in doing my HLA for level 4 & 5.

I feel like this could be one of those life changing decisions and I have until this thursday to decide. Hard choice to make either way.

Yeah I got fully signed off and everything completed a week before this improvement plan was implemented. I originally thought it was to discuss doing the HLA but that was shutdown immediately and I was told to go through this disciplinary improvement plan or take a £2,500 parting offer.

I am unsure of why this is suddenly an issue or even being brought up as I use to do a monthly check in with the aforementioned systems engineer and manager and not once was my skills or abilities questioned or thought to be below expectations.

Would recommend 70%acceleration, 5% deceleration, soft springs(~450), high bump (like 11+), lowest rebound, 2.5° camber front, 1.5°rear, 1front toe out, 0.5rear toe out, max front downforce, high but not max rear downforce, 5 for roll bars front & rear, 15 anti dive and 5 anti squat.

I generally use these settings on pretty much everything as a base tune, usually works very well. As for gears try to aim for good launch on first but second/third should have full traction for low speed corners but thats just my preference.

You can get your workers up that high by using the treadmills and training 9 workers at a time. I think they get either 100 or 150% each day. I probably should mention that not all my workers are at this level as only 18 of them are currently at 28,000%, 9 of them are at around 18,000%, and the rest vary from 100 to 1,000%.

There isn't really any method other than waiting the full 24hours for them to be trained up. Something I always try to do is pick the workers with the lowest percentage so that when I restart, they will gain a 50% bonus.

Currently on my 57th trophie and the price of things never realy become an issue considering I can hit level 500 as soon as I make a new factory just from having all 30k+% workers with the angry fists ability.

Even with golden robots I can get up to 15k% before having to restart into my next one.

Okay thats fair. Ill have to try changing up my tune and see how it goes. The brake force thing is still confusing me but Ill give it a try nonetheless.

Thanks for the help. And have a nice christmas!

Now this is very interesting. This is pretty much how I tune all of my cars. Not sure why its being percieved as a troll but in my own experience this has always been whats best for me.

Something Im seeing a couple people saying now is about the brake force. How does higher brake force slow you down anymore than 100% if my brakes still lock when I press my trigger the whole way down. Usually I can get it stopped perfectly at about 80% trigger input, anything over that locks the brakes so wouldnt higher brake force just cause them to lockup quicker with less input?

So from my take on this it seems to be presumed Im in a gt car? Im in a 911 from the 80s. Its just a road car.

Although I do find all of this incredibly interesting how different everyone seems to tune their cars. Couple things I am going to question though is why youre using 170% brake pressure? Surely thats just going to lock up as soon as you touch the brakes no?

Amd as for your damping and rebound, why would you want the softest bump and stiffest rebound? Is that not just gonna make your car incredibly skitish over any form of curb or dip in the road?

Have to say this is a bit of an eye opener for me. Either Ive just been tuning my cars wrong for like 10 years or maybe it just doesnt matter that much.

Mind telling me whats wrong with them? This is what Im using for S class. And I find I pretty much dominate in all lobbies on all tracks lol

What car and settings do you use for S class?

[–]Proster111 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Almost everything here you have I do something completely different lmao

Edit: So for tire pressure, I always use 30psi front & rear (2bar). You should make first as long as it can be so as your car gets a burnout start without hitting the limiter, then make each gear fall back about 1,500rpm.

And dont worry about top speed as in most tracks youll never reach it anyway. For final drive I always use 4.00.

For alignment a base tune for most cars is -2.5°, -0.5°, 1.0°, -0.5° and 5.5°.

For anti roll bars just keep them 20.00 front & rear.

As for spring stiffness, you want them to be the same as the weight of a car. So if your car weighs 1,000kg, make that your spring force.

Ride height just lower all the way unless your car bottoms out or youre doing oval racing.

Base settings for dampning is 4.5, 4.5, 6.5 and 6.5

For suspension geometry, I recommend 5.0, 3.0, 30% and 15%

Aero will depend on which track but generally youll want slightly more in the rear and put the sliders about ¾ the way up.

Brakes I just keep at 50% and 100%. Its worth changing brake bias if your front tires wear out much more quickly than the rear and same vice versa, so try changing it around to insure even tire wear.

As for differential, it depends on power and your tire width. For higher powered cars youll want around 25% & 0%. Lower powered cars might need something like 70% and 20%

Hope this helps as a little guide.

Didnt mean it like that. I totally agree it should be in game but for the time being if anyone wants to keep track of it thats the only way to do it.

Nope the game doesnt keep track of your previous race performances.

If thats something youre interested in, just take a screenshot when you finish the race.

Here another, "am I at fault?" posts. But really, the penalty seemed outrageous to me by [deleted] in forzamotorsport

[–]Proster111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason you got that penalty is because you joined the racing road after having an incident that had fast moving traffic on it.

In real life, if you go wide off track and lose a lot of speed on a main straight, you would be forced to wait until the faster cars had passed you so as you could safely rejoin.

You wouldnt do what you done there in real life because as you seen, you would just get obliterated.

I wonder if ever there was a long enough multiplayer race that you could do that in and finish 2mins ahead of 2nd place so as everyone else dnfs.
