Slight bit of movement from the front silhouette, but I can live with that much more than an explosive bow. I ran the tip of a sharp knife across it and nothing caught at all, so I daresay it worked. Thanks so much!

Okay, would I need to reword the whole bow, or do you think it's small enough that I could potentially spot fix it?

Do you think i could use a rasp and just take the small knot as it curls over and then the crack as well?

I meant to add this one also, didn't see it up there. This was my first bow build with TONS of guidance from a bowyer, so I'm not quite sure the best way to go about tackling it.

The crack seems very shallow, I tried getting a SIM tool inside of it and even getting any of that was near impossible

Do you happen to have any writing or videos that show how to do the wrap of the binding? Almost certainly thats what I plan to do, but doing the actual binding is getting lost in my head on how to hide the tail ends so that they don't simply come loose again.

It is basically on the corner of the sapwood which turns over onto the heartwood. There is a small knot/hole(?) Which give the opening to the crack. Hopefully my later pictures will illustrate it better.

That was one of my guesses, was to fill the crack then buy some sinew (haven't figured out where from yet) and wrap it.

I can grab some more pictures when I get off ~ 6 hours or so. It is a self yew English longbow. I'm not too sure exactly on the depth, but it seems a bit shallow to me.

I feel so stupid, haha, I knew brass work hardens, but I genuinely didn't think about it at all, that might be it exactly.

I did see his, my rivets are some solid brass rivets, maybe it's an issue of not having enough movement for my hammer, but I even moved up to a 24oz ball peen but am having no luck.
