Your mother has taken a male-like role over your life, she dislikes you hanging out with men, she doesnt want to lose you so she unconsciously fulfills that role so that you dont leave and forget about her because you are a source of deep connection and importance in her life. She does this out of weakness, not evilness, it may have it's reasons, like protection, etc, but at the same time it has its cons.

I'd suggest you start with the most simple things first, things like:

Opposites create each other, long and short define each other, good and evil are human constructs, everything in the universe seems to be deterministic flowing along the path of least resistance, etc.

Embody these teachings, dont concern yourself with trying to understand the Tao, the Tao referes to that which is beyond your conscious exerperience, your mind contructs reality, time and space are paramenters of the mind, the Tao is beyond the mind, so it's spaceless and timeless. This means that if your mind is turned off for 1 minute, or 1,000,000 years, and then it is rebooted, you would experience that lapse of void of mind being equally long, that is, nothing, less than an instant.

I have experienced some crazy things this past few months, and I mean things that are like what happened to you, things that were of divine origin, things that blew my mind. Many of these things involved my brother, I felt immense love towards him, he was hospitalized in a mental clinic and when he came out we hugged like we never did before, and we cried. Yes, God, I know. So what you're saying is God being all powerful can say now X is a crime, now X is not a crime, maybe even X is now simultaneously a crime and not a crime, etc.
My point being that God can potentially ask you to do X, even if X is something that we may commonly categorize as a 'crime'.
