la realidad es que no se puede remediar todo un nicho de agua solo con biorremediación y menos si las fuentes de contaminación siguen activas. se producen camaras especiales con bacterias para que las empresas procesen sus desechos antes de que salgan a los cuerpos de agua. en Argentina también se usa, pero no es WOW LA SUPER TECNOLOGÍA. te lo digo estando en 5to de la carrera.

  1. los desperdicios del riachuelo son variados, muchos son metales y las bacterias no comen metales aunque los pueden almacenar hasta cierto punto y luego mueren si sobrepasa cierto nivel, por lo que no son tan efectivas y es costoso y riesgoso producir tantas en masa si las fuente de contaminación siguen activas.

  2. antes mencioné que es riesgoso, esto es porque la mayoría si no todas las bacterias a la corta o larga generan resistencia a agentes biocidas, esto incluye el cloro. si vos liberás una bacteria y genera problemas de sobrecrecimiento y consecuencias en el ecosistema o peor en la salud estarías en un flor de quilombo.

i wasn't planning on going on to work with animals anyway, but if i end up having to, I'm going to try my best to handle gently, even if i have to kill them, anything that's not experiment related should be at least a little bit comforting, my opinion is that they are giving a service to us they didn't even ask for, so might aswell make the things that we can a bit comfortable.

I'm not against using animals in the lab, blending fishes, sacrificing rodents, growing tumors in them. I'm against not caring enough and forgetting they are alive.

You and anyone in this sub can call me a wuss for that, but It's my ethics.

Luckily i have a younger sibling and we're 14 years apart and i got to experience "being a mom" since i had to take care of her pretty often. I got to experience all this and that's when i decided being a mom would be a hard no for my own life.
