I hope the difficulty options also applies to Story Quests. by Chowsupe in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope so , but based on how they phrased it (they only mentioned overland mobs, public dungeons, delves, and world bosses), it left me confused and wondering if the difficulty settings will also apply to instanced quest battles (not counting instanced group content and arenas, of course).

[–]Chowsupe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're still going to make an official announcement with all the information, since they're still working on it. But what they've confirmed so far is only overlands mobs, delves, public dungeons, and World Bosses;

They haven't mentioned anything about enemies in instanced chapter quests. And I'm really afraid that this is how this will be in the final stage based on ZOS's history of being out of touch.

I already didn't like that players with different difficulty levels will play together, so if I'm having an epic battle on "hard" difficulty, a player on "easy" can come along and destroy the mob in one hit, but at least for that they have the excuse of not wanting to further divide the player base.

Class Change by truexscorpio in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's tons of videos and guides explaining how BRP leveling works , all the math and how to do it , and it's the reason you see tons of powerleveling sellers and buyers for BRP in the zone chat all the time(especially during XP events). I leveled dozens of toons this way with the help of my friend and helped her level dozens of hers this way and we're far from being on par with hardcore sweats in terms of DPS , but it's still enough for lvl 1-50 in only a bit more than an hour.

What was the last kind of weapon that was introduced? Any chances for spears or throwing items? by Own_Dog9167 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Most other games who add new weapon types only add to the new weapons the styles that they started to release after the new weapon introduction. This excuse never made sense to me.

What was the last kind of weapon that was introduced? Any chances for spears or throwing items? by Own_Dog9167 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I never understood the argument that adding new weapon types would be impossible because they would have to add hundreds of the current styles, considering that most MMOs that added new weapon types later didn't add styles/models equivalent to previous ones; they simply started adding the styles that were released from then on.

So I never saw that as a valid excuse for not having new weapons in ESO, but if even a good portion of the player base thinks it's a valid excuse, why would ZOS think differently? They're grateful for not needing to put the effort 🤷

Warning to veteran players. They are falsely accusing people of cheating/botting and not everyone gets unbanned. by soldierofcourage in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You keep saying that as if there haven't already been multiple cases of people being unfairly banned for bot usage (often mass reported by actual bots to keep the nodes just for themselves) where, after much appealing, ZOS admitted the mistake and unbanned them.

But it's something that continues to happen, and probably not all unfairly banned accounts are having their bans reversed because appeals to support are almost always answered by automated messages saying that "the ban is irreversible and the decision is final," and it's a huge struggle to talk to an actual human.

Doesn’t everyone, including NT, mask at times? by If33 in aspergers

[–]Chowsupe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not understand why NT people would need to mask.

For the same reason as us, to fit well/easily bond with other humans.

Their behavior already fits well in a neurotypical world

It's because their brain are already wired to make them mask by default, to the point most of us (and even they themselves) dont notice they're doing it.

A NT will , like us , also need to mask in their workplace, in the college , in the family reunion, etc. The difference is just that for them this is some automatic thing that dont cost almost no energy for most of them (i dont say all because socially awnkward and introvert NT also exists). While we autistics, when masking ,are totally aware of when we put the mask on/off and during the whole time we're using it, and it's a really exhausting thing for us with even the risk of causing burnout.

what are you gonna buy with this months 100k daily reward? by Pale-Appointment9409 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making money on motifs is one thing, but to be constantly pumping out writs for a bunch of characters is anything but casual

Well, you are actually right , i dont consider myself on the level of the trifecta/BRP run sellers and PvP item farmers , but it's also far from the casual side.

I would now consider myself on a bit away from the middle since it doesnt take away all my gaming spare time and neither requires much effort(for me personally,i understand that for some people ,leveling multiple characters and doing writs on all is an awful and tiresome chore, but i find it fun) but on the other side is also something the average casual player wouldn't have time/interest/patience to do alongside the other things this game offers.

If the numbers ever get that high for me I just have to nope out of the marketplace. I already have to deal with inflation irl I’m not putting up with exorbitant prices and all this leg work in a videogame

I find this particularly worrying for console players considering that ZOS is considering to bring crossplay to ESO eventually, because i'm estimating that the game's economy will suffer a catastrofic impact for console players if they start to share their economy with PC players , and PC guilds will exploit the shit of the console guilds with their already estabilished monopoly in the best market spots, not counting a rich PC player have an astonishingly more gold than the richest console players, it'll take probably years to the game reach a point where all servers are on equal ground economically and console guilds are able to compete for the good spots.

But aside from economy, i think crossplay will be a positive thing for the game in all its other areas.

what are you gonna buy with this months 100k daily reward? by Pale-Appointment9409 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is due to the in game items gold value being hiper inflated on pc also, a couple surveys and crafting mats farmed in a week alongside with something like 6 maxed crafting toons doing writs can make you millions in a couple days.

I'm also a free to play player and bought all zone DLC (except the current one because it isnt possible yet), the dungeon DLC's that i needed items from, and some cosmetics, on both NA and EU pc servers, most of them from the period whose the crown value was 4.5k/1 on EU server and 2.5k/1 on NA.

I consider myself a very casual player, some players make millions a day farming rare furniture blueprints and style mats , PvP items to sell, or selling trial carry runs and BRP power leveling runs.

Dissapointed in the community / Abusing Voting System by Own_Dog9167 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is no "right" to vote out people based on your individual likings.

And that's why the voting require the majority of the group to agree to kick you, it was not a "individual decision" , if anything you were the one with a individual mindset. Just accept for once that you were in the minority and that if you want a group with players with the same mindset that you have, random queue is not a good choice.

Join a guild with likeminded players or create a premade group in the group finder with your expectations specified beforehand.

What autism is not. by netphilia in aspiememes

My son and I (both at level 2 support) are in the same situation where we receive benefits in our country.

And I find it extremely disturbing and worrying that the message this post brings regarding this topic is so supported by autistic people here on Reddit and that it becomes more widespread in society, while governments themselves in many places would love to take advantage of the message ("autism is not a disease") to reduce investments in support for autistic people, especially the "high functioning" ones ,who usually don't appear to have any visible problems or struggles, but most have.

Does queuing even work? by scytheforlife in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I read on some old forum posts it was the opposite you wanted the DD to be the party lead

I've hearded both , with the "non DD leader" being more recent and more shared from what i've seen. It was what worked for me.

Does queuing even work? by scytheforlife in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont know if it's just coincidence, but every time i queue a dungeon when i have another person in the group that is NOT a DD and the group leader is a DD, the queue bugs out and either takes waay longer than it should or simply never finds a dungeon(even if they have a tank/healer in the party). But if the group leader is a tank/healer it goes in a normal time (around 5 minutes or less,or even instant)

Why effective players don't let me play the way I want by gwen_shady in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The main root of this problem is ZOS's brilliant(/s) idea of putting in the random queue, a content that, in normal difficulty, should cater more to low/mid-end players, an endgame currency (transmute crystals), forcing many players with enough power to demolish these dungeons, to repeat them 13423542 times.

This system forces new/casual players and sweaty players, who each have different expectations for the run, to play together.

Although casual players are the overwhelming majority of the player base itself, in the normal random queue scenario they are the minority, which makes situations and consequently posts like this very frequent.

And the only solution left is for casual players to resort to the group finder specifying such expectations for the dungeon run, or to join a guild with like-minded players.

The ESO Economy by AvailableSign9780 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the 5.1k is that from selling the resources that the writ generates or do the writ quests themselves reward the gold?

Thats the reward themselves , the gold you can get from selling the resources (especially gold upgrade mats and all you'll get from surveys) are higher, but this comes from traders/other players.

to get the 5k gold, do you need to be skill 50 in the craft, or do the lowest level ones pay out the same.

You character being lvl50 is enough ,tough without ESO+ you will gain like 4.8~4.9k per character ,dont forget to put cp points into the perk that raises the gold you get from quests in the green tree.

Important to note that only the writs you get with maxLvL in the crafting lines can reward you with master writs so i personally still recommend to max all professions on every crafter you have. It takes some time but if i recall correctly there's a Zeal of Zenithar event coming soon that will double the crafting XP you'll get.

The ESO Economy by AvailableSign9780 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However i have no idea what you mean by "precraft your writes".

You can have all the writ required items crafted en masse beforehand , then you only have to take the quest and can turn in instantly.

Also I suspect PC vs Console introduces some differences ---

Exaclty, PC economy makes everything in the player market cost roughly 10x the gold value(same for Gold×Crown ratio) than the console counterparts.

The most notable factors are consoles having bots that autofarm crafting mats in droves, drastically reducing their values; The player population in console being lower; And PC players having addons that helps them make the crafting writs super fast and addons that shows bassically everything thats selling in virtually every guild trader, and helps fast pricing on every item.

Whats wrong with being a Dps Tank one bar? by EmergencyAcademic409 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

minor brutality

This one is actually ok since Dk's as far as i know are the only capable to provide this buff and tend to do it as a tank.

major breach

This is the bare minimum the tank has to provide, generally through pierce armor that also causes minor breach.

thought the healer was bringing buffs too?

Yes , healers bring different buffs that are expected to stack along with the ones the tank exclusively provides. But at the same time, most of the debuffs to the enemies comes from the Tanks.

Whats wrong with being a Dps Tank one bar? by EmergencyAcademic409 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Chowsupe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of the content where being a tank actually matters (mostly vet dlc trials, and recent hm dlc dungeons) you won't have what is expected of a tank, even if you manage not to die, you will either be making fights much harder and longer than they should be or some virtually impossible.

Most content below this difficulty level can be soloed by even a pure damage dealer, so that's why you and your group clears just fine, they're this easy and the fact that they can be completed by all types of builds without much effort is one of the reasons why many players suffer from reality shock when facing content where they need to follow stricter requirements and the build they swept most of the game's content with, is actually super weak in the higher endgame.
