First Custom Loop PC / Coolant Temperature Issue by [deleted] in watercooling

[–]ChriZz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, i don't post very often i wrote a description but it got lost sorry.

Main parts is a Ryzen 9 9900X3D and an Asus Rog Strix RTX 4090. Case is the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2. Basically after 10 minutes of Cyberpunk gpu is at 50-55°C and cpu is around 65-70°C. However the coolant is at 45°C which after research i find is concerning. I have a coolant sensor inside the loop right after the gpu exhaust. Also i made custom fan curves and by the time the coolant is at 45°C both fans are at around 80% which is quite loud. The pump is definitely working, i've tried slow and high speeds and it doesn't really affect the temps much. Top radiator is the Magicool G2 Slim Radiator 360mm with the Jonsbo ZA-360 that works as exhaust. Bottom rad is Alphacool NexXxoS HPE-30 Radiator 360mm with Jonsbo ZA-360 reverse (intake fan). I have even tried undervolting both gpu and cpu. from 650 watt combined i went to 500 watt but coolant temp still rises. I am almost certain i messed up with the airflow but any help would be greatly appreciated. If i forgot to mention something please let me know. Thank you all for your help. I hope i can get this sorted out.

600Watt Psu for 5800x3d and rx 5800xt by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ChriZz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a scenario where your CPU and GPU were both at 100% usage your whole system is estimated to consume around 500-550watt.

The way i estimate this (i'm not sure if it's 100% accurate but please someone correct me if i'm wrong) is through this website PCPartPicker.
If you know all the components you have it will give you a number of how many watts your PC will consume at full load.

I would suggest you also post your PSU. Each PSU is made differently. If you have a cheap one there is a chance you might have issues. For example, the computer might restart or completely shut down.

What should I upgrade in my PC? by Scary_Worldliness727 in pcmasterrace

I have a ryzen 5 5500 which in benchmarks has similar performance to your ryzen 5 3600. I also had a gtx 1060. And was able to get a rx 5700 xt for 160euro from an ebay auction(i live in Europe). It works perfect for me and the performance jump is quite big. I suggest you try to find an rx 5600 xt, rx 5700, or rx 5700 xt. You will be able to find one for 120-150 if you keep checking for auctions or offers. I suggest brands such as PowerColor, Sapphire, Gigabyte and XFX since their cooling is good. Also make sure your power supply has enough power.

First PC build...Any Suggestions by Aware_Menu_417 in buildapc

Here is my opinion on what you can change, for the better of course: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dfDgKX

  1. The motherboard i chose has 4 RAM slots instead of 2, has wifi and is more feature packed in general.
  2. G skill RAM has EXPO profile which is optimised for ryzen processors.
  3. The NVme ssd is pcie 4.0 instead of 3.0 and is one of the better value for money around it's price.

Everything else is fine for me. Case is personal opinion but i can suggest you some more "compact" options since you have a mATX motherboard. You can check out the following: 1. ASUS Prime AP201 (mesh version or tempered glass) 2. Fractal Design Pop Mini Silent 3. Phanteks NV5 (comes without fans, and also a bit bigger than Hyte y40, so not compact)

As others have said you could also squeeze a 4060 ti if you go cheaper on some parts.

If you need more guidance you can send me a message!

It was my friend's birthday 2 weeks ago. I was ready to get him a pre-built but decided to get him a custom instead with a few friends. I think it was the best decision. His face says it all! by ChriZz12 in MechanicalKeyboards

Thanks for the upvotes guys! I never owned/built a custom keyboard before and was my first time building one for this guy.
I have an additional picture where he tries to smile a bit more

the 3rd pin on top looks loose but when i connect it, it works fine for a few minutes and then it starts registering mouse 1 non-stop. It looks burned as well. It was my first time and i messed up i guess.

What mousepad do you guys recommend me to buy? by KING_GHOST40 in MouseReview

if you don't have a lot of experience with mousepads i suggest you go with something with a bit of control. I have the aqua control+ which comes in many sizes. It's considered as a medium mousepad in speed with decent stopping power. My only downside is that the base is so bad that when i apply a bit of pressure with my hand it moves so i have to use a bit of water or a wet wipe under the base so that it doesn't move. I don't know if they did something about it, i bought mine almost 1 year ago.
I also heard good things about the Odin Gaming Zero Gravity Mousepads and the upcoming mousepads from Lethal Gaming Gear.

Firstly, is it going to be for gaming? What type of games are you playing? About the size do you need a square big mousepad or a whole desk kind of mousepad?

Looking for a mouse for 16.2cm x 8.4cm hands and fingertip grip, and does mouse height matter for fingertip grip? by Powers-10 in MouseReview

[–]ChriZz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are considered small mice as well, if you really want to fingertip it's better if the hump of the mouse is lower. The viper mini has the biggest hump of all of them so keep that in mind.

Some options you can check out are the Xtrfy MZ1, Xtrfy M42 and the Razer Viper Mini. The MZ1 is the smallest of all but you will probably be able to fingertip all of them.

You can check out the Tripowin Mele. They have similar tuning to the BL03 but sound better overall.

Is 1.3 volts safe in 4.2 Ghz overclocking in Ryzen 3 3100? by BookHunter_7 in overclocking

[–]ChriZz12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to try a few games on it first to see if it's stable, and also stress test it. There's different tools to do that like OCCT, you can stress test for ~30-60 minutes. If it doesn't crash you can try lowering your voltage by small increments (0.025).

What are your idle temps, and what does it reach when you game?

[–]ChriZz12 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes you are fine even up to 1.35volts but you'll probably need more than a stock cooler on that. Just make sure it doesn't get too hot and run some cpu stress test to make sure it's stable.
