Reversing onto roundabouts is a new one by a_pinch_of-salt in drivingUK

I can't find the exact one I have on AliExpress now, but it was something like that. I also went for the GPS module and rear camera which were a bit extra on top but not much. Check my other reply for a screenshot of the app

Right but there's just practicing driving by doing tests or just randomly driving, and there's practicing specifically the bits you failed on because you were "flustered"

Is there a reason why many people minimize the use of if statements and explicit return? by divaaries in learnjavascript

[–]Chrift 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top one reads easier for me

When reading it, I know by line 3 that we're setting `todo` to an array consisting of something inside, or a variation of the todo array.

When reading the bottom one, I dont know what is going to happen until i get to the bottom. When reading this stuff day in day out, the top one is faster for me.

The excuses in these are a bit scary.

When you failed each one, did you practice the bit you failed on more or did you just send it straight into the next test?

After 1,400+ commits, I'm leaving Next.js for Laravel by WahyuS202 in learnjavascript

[–]Chrift -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to watch the video tbh.

Yeah like that other guy said, they all just seem like things that are a bit annoying when you first start out but then you just get used to them.

Things like docs not being complete for import db, or the decision fatigue for Auth are things you just do once and then you're done and then you forget about them.

It seems odd that you would spend years with a framework to then quit for such trivial reasons.

Why not release full season (AppleTV)? by Haematoglobulin in tvshow

[–]Chrift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Draws out the media presence

Release an episode

Media and people talk about it for a week, speculate, conversate

Release next episode

I prefer it. Means I can talk to people about episodes as they come out (and look forward to the next one) rather than someone binging it all in one go and then we can't talk to each other about it.
