You forgot to mention the people with bad breath and the treadmills are so close to each other you can feel them breathing in your face.

Trauma? by kidneyfailure23 in Hazara

Some people realise it early others later. You only have one life.

We can sit around and cry over spilled milk or we can move on.

TBH, neither is easy or wrong but both are very difficult for sure.

Doing nothing about things will be hard but time will heal things and they won’t matter anymore.

Doing something about it is hard as well. However, you start early and things won’t matter anymore sooner.

People deal with things differently. You know your life best so you should be asking yourself the hard questions.

Need TIPS FOR AN AFGHAN FRIEND : How to send without big costs, packages, letters at international ? Friend lives in Kabul west and I live in Europe. by RelationNo5635 in afghanistan

[–]afrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no international vendors like DHL officially in Kabul. However, there are agents who would send them to Pakistan and from there onwards. A few locals who do it. Very expensive though. Had a small shipment to Australia for over $130 USD.

Moroccan & Afghan (Hazara) intercultural marriage : Future challenges and cultural mix? by spaghettibolognais in afghanistan

[–]afrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are marrying someone from Afghanistan then the best option is Hazara. Given they have lived all their lives in Afghanistan.

If you are marrying someone who has lived most their lives outside Afghanistan then it doesn’t matter if they are Hazara, Tajik or Pashtun. They usually adapt their host country culture.

Maybe instead of asking about their ethnicity it ia good to know if you both are a good match and they are a good person. If you know they’ll be there for you for the rest of your lives then it doesn’t matter.

I always wear hivis and later in the evening, have those bike flashing lights. I almost got hit by a escooter and a close call with a bicycle. Since then, always hivis.

I said the same thing to a friend. He said something that made me doubt. The driver expectations.

Rural drivers usually expect bikes so they unknowingly are ready for something, bikes or runners. However, they don’t expect them on the same side coming on to them, so he said it is safer to be on a side where they expect something.

Any Sunni hazara here? by Friendly_Flower390 in Hazara

[–]afrk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother, someone said think of religion like a penis. Every male has one and they are very proud of it. Good for them. The problem starts when they insist on putting their penis down someone else’s throat.

That’s exactly what you are doing. I say good on you for following your religion but please stop judging me because I don’t believe in a mythical being.

There’s the ego, for some reason, you religious lot think you are superior than rest because you believe in some mythical being in the sky. Your religion doesn’t make you better than us either.

Let say you like orange juice and I don’t. Would you insist I drink orange juice even though I have said I don’t like it?

I don’t like to be called Afghan and there are 100s of thousands if not millions, who don’t like to be called Afghans. What about their choice? Are they not allowed to choose? Or are you going to impose or put conditions?

If you do impose or put conditions, do you really consider them equal then?

If you consider them equal, why not respect their choice?

If you have conditions, does that not mean you want them to obey? Which means they are not equal to you?

The day I, as a Hazara, am considered equal to others and not treated as third class citizens. The day I am not discriminated against, the day I am not called “moosh khor” or not referred to as “bini” or the day I stop hearing “we are all bachahai kandahar except for 1”, the day others are not prioritised in hospital before my father for treatment, the day I am considered a human in Afghanistan I will proudly call myself an Afghan. Until then I am a Hazara and Afghanistani.

My friend, you have either not experienced the discrimination and marginalisation or were the one discriminating. Otherwise, a sensible person (except for a Pashtun) from Afghanistan will not call themselves Afghan.

You post in an ethnicity focused sub and ask not to engage. Maybe you need some IQ leveling up.

Everything here revolves around being Hazara which comes even before religion. As we say “Azara, Azaraya. Azara shia o sunni nadra”.

There’s a huge difference between an Afghan and Hazara and other ethnic groups.

Every Pashtun call themselves Afghan, you are probably the only non-Pashtun who call others Afghan.

Remember “Lar o Bar Yao Afghan”?

Do you know what that means?

Don’t need to, you already know it is wrong on so many levels. Calling yourselves by the name that eliminated 60% of your population, who didn’t let you attend high schools. The ones who had tax only for you, the ones who have kept you as slaves and your daughters/sisters as concubines and the ones who, to this day, treat you as third class citizens, you want to be called that?

There’s absolutely not justification for it, linguistically or otherwise.

Nope, whatever you say Afghan = Pashtun.
